Leading Fitness Franchise Strategically Relocates Business with State of the Art Office and Support Center.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Retro Fitness, the leader in high-value, low price fitness, has opened its new corporate headquarters and support center at 1601 Belvedere Rd., West Palm Beach, Florida. The new location was a strategic relocation for the brand amid its 15th year anniversary, prompted by Retro Fitness’ continued national growth and expansion.

Retro Fitness worked hand-in-hand with leading architectural firm, Nichols/Page Design Association Inc., to open its new 13,000 sq. ft. support center in the heart of West Palm Beach, generating hundreds of new jobs and opportunities in the surrounding markets. The new state of the art facility and support center has a modern, industrial-chic layout, Retro Fitness branding and a collaborative workspace environment that features:

  • Full penthouse floor
  • 15 individual offices
  • ABC Financial Learning Lab focused on Franchisee Learning and Development
  • RF Podcast Studio
  • Zen den which includes massage chairs for employees
  • Smoothie bar, same that you would find in Retro Fitness Health Clubs

“Recognizing Retro Fitness was at an inflection point, part of our transformation was a strategic relocation that complimented the growth opportunity in front of us,” said Andrew Alfano, CEO of Retro Fitness. “Since then, the world has completely changed amid the pandemic, and our new support center has been our haven as we navigated the new normal, growing our member joins, club locations and investor interest exponentially. We are excited to draw upon the energy of the communities throughout Florida and support Governor DeSantis’ focus that public health is more than just beating a virus.”

“I welcome Retro Fitness to West Palm Beach,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “Despite the fact that focusing on health and wellness would have done a lot of good in face of the pandemic, the fitness industry was unfortunately one of the main targets of shutdowns in other states. I am excited Retro has made their move to the free state of Florida, and I wish them all the success.”

PHOENIX — Jabz Boxing just leveled up.

Continuing to elevate the fitness brand on the exercise scene, the refresh presents Jabz with a modernized look and revamped messaging. The boxing-inspired, full-body circuit style workout studio announced its rebranding today, coinciding with the launch of its new JabzBoxing.com website.

“Inside the four walls of our gyms, the soul…the spirit and vibe remain unchanged. This is the perfect time for us to present our brand in a bold, updated way that carries us into the future,” said Danielle Scott, Jabz Boxing Brand President. “The new look and messaging help us signify we are stronger together, and that truly defines what the brand is and where it is headed.”

Representing a new standard for group fitness brands, the new look initially is coming to life through Jabz Boxing’s social media platforms, its website, including location pages, new marketing collateral and with the release of a redesigned logo.

Offering the same unrivaled HIIT classes clients have come to love, Jabz’s new look and feel will advance the brand and reaffirm its powerful resonance in the communities it serves. Inspiring strength both in and out of the ring, Jabz immerses members in an energizing environment where workouts are led by supportive, nationally certified coaches. No matter who you are, your background or current fitness level, you belong in the Jabz ring. Its new branding, logo and company website better represent Jabz and its invitation to the public to “Come as You Are, Leave Stronger.”

Retro Fitness Secures New Investment from Arena Capital Partners to Expand into the Boston Area

2020-10-14T11:17:42-04:00October 14th, 2020|Tags: , , |

Leading Fitness Franchise continues to Expand Following a Strong Increase in Demand throughout the Pandemic.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Today, Retro Fitness, a leader in the high-value, low price fitness space, announced a prominent investment from Boston-based venture capital firm, Arena Capital Partners. The partnership supports the high demand for the fitness franchise to expand and develop health clubs throughout the greater Boston market, with plans to initially open 10-12 locations.

Over the next year, the expansion across Boston is slated to create hundreds of jobs for the local community with the ability to service over 40,000 members, elevating the focus on health and wellness starting in Middlesex and Essex counties.

With exercise, health and overall fitness top of mind across the country, Retro Fitness saw a spike in franchise sales amid the pandemic. Over the past several months, Retro Fitness franchise sales have spiked significantly with a 300% increase from single to multi-unit ownership among existing franchisees, and a 200% increase in sales of new fitness locations. This was a direct result of its new leadership team that brings a new strategic vision and expertise to Retro Fitness’ highly profitable franchise model. Amplifying their growth, this multi-million dollar investment from Arena Capital will introduce the franchise to new territories in Boston.

“We’re thrilled to be able to expand Retro Fitness into the greater Boston area, delivering a world class member experience.  The pandemic highlighted the immediate need for people to get fit and healthy.  Exercise is medicine and health clubs are now really seen as an extension of healthcare as people need to get healthier,” said Andrew Alfano, CEO of Retro Fitness. “We owe our continued growth to the commitment and experience of our new executive leadership team, independent franchisees, and investors including Arena Capital Partners, as we help to increase the awareness of exercise, health and fitness in the greater Boston market.”

The investment from Arena Capital is one of the many steps Retro Fitness is taking to strategically meet and exceed their growth demands. Retro Fitness is continuing to identify new and emerging markets across the US, giving investors and area developers an opportunity to join an organization poised for growth and continuing to shatter consumer expectations in the fitness and wellness industry.

“We understand that this is a pivotal growth moment for the fitness industry and we’re excited to invest in an organization that’s providing unmatched opportunity for investors,” says Ryan Debin, Managing Partner at Arena Capital Partners. “We are dedicated to seeking new real estate ventures and franchises that focus on the overall wellbeing of the surrounding communities and we’re confident that Retro Fitness will bring great service and high-quality fitness to the Boston area.”

About Retro Fitness:

Founded in 2004, Retro Fitness began as a regional gym concept in the Northeast and has evolved into a leading national fitness franchise with more than 140 gyms open or in development across the country. With a new executive leadership team led by former Starbucks Senior Executive Andrew Alfano, Retro Fitness has successfully navigated the pandemic, while not over yet, and is emerging from the crisis healthy. This coming off of the best Q1 in the history of the company prior to shutdown.
