2023-12-13T21:40:07-05:00December 13th, 2023|Tags: , , , , , , |

NAPLES, Fla. — CycleBar Naples, the premier indoor cycling studio in southwest Florida, today announced it will celebrate its 5-year anniversary this week. The studio will formally recognize its 5-year anniversary with a party at 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 13 at 9118 Strada Place, Suite 8105 in Mercato after the last class. All are welcome.

“We want to thank our CycleBar community for helping us reach this milestone together,” stated Jake Maulin, co-owner and instructor. “Your passion and unwavering support have created a space that fosters more than just fitness – together we’ve created a true connection and community.”

CycleBar Naples opened in December 2018 and has consistently been one of the top five CycleBar studios in the world with more than 600 members and countless drop-in riders who make fitness a priority while working or vacationing in Southwest Florida.

Maulin pointed to a number of milestones the CycleBar Naples community has achieved together:

  • Couple Connections: 24 couples (that we know of…) have met at CycleBar Naples, not to mention those couples who ride together consistently.
  • Ride Legends: The studio applauds the eight riders who have achieved 1000 rides, 44 riders who have hit 500 and 380 riders who have over 100 rides.
  • Growing Businesses: CycleBar Naples has helped launch and support 23 local businesses through pop-ups and cross-brand collaborations. Welcoming these ventures into the studio space has enriched the community and contributed to Naples’ flourishing entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Community Impact: CycleBar Naples riders have also had a significant impact on the community with support for charitable organizations, including 32 different causes.

“We ride as one, and we get to each milestone one ride at a time.” stated Maulin. “We can’t wait to create more memories together in the next five years.”

CycleBar to Debut in New York City with Multiple Former Flywheel Locations

2021-06-22T18:42:08-04:00June 22nd, 2021|Tags: , , , , , , |

Xponential Partnership with Palladin Consumer Retail Partners to Further Expand Indoor Cycling Brand’s Footprint.

IRVINE, Calif. — Xponential Fitness brand CycleBar, which is the nation’s largest indoor cycling franchise, announced today it will enter the New York City market for the first time with six studios expected to open over the summer, beginning with a studio in Noho in late June. This expansion was made possible through Xponential’s existing relationship with Palladin Consumer Retail Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm, and their establishment of “PB Metro” in 2019 which is now rebranding six former Flywheel Sports studios that closed permanently last year, along with further territory development in the market. The initial six NYC CycleBar locations include:

  • Noho – 51 Astor Place, New York, NY
  • Flatiron – 39 W. 21st Street, New York, NY
  • Upper East Side – 201 E. 67th Street, New York, NY
  • NoMad – 420 Park Ave S., New York, NY
  • Tribeca – 415 Greenwich St., New York NY
  • Williamsburg – 173 North 3rd Street Brooklyn, NY

This partnership with PB Metro will also bring about one new CycleBar studio in Philadelphia at 1521 Locust Street.

“After years of being a staple in the boutique cycling industry, we are excited CycleBar has reached the Big Apple with the help of Palladin,” said Anthony Geisler, CEO of Xponential Fitness. “With a devoted population of riders in NYC and a pent-up demand for local neighborhood boutique fitness, the time could not be better for us to debut our high-energy, rhythm-based workout to such a fitness-focused market in the United States.”

This announcement continues the ongoing partnership between Xponential and Palladin, led by Xponential’s EVP of Franchise Development, Jason Losco, which began with Palladin’s 2019 formation of PB Metro and subsequent expansion of sister-brand, Pure Barre, throughout NYC. There are currently 16 open Pure Barre studios in the greater New York market owned by PB Metro, with an additional 12 licenses to be developed over the next three years.

In addition to converting the six Flywheel locations to CycleBar studios in NYC, the partnership with PB Metro gives the group the right to develop 23 more CycleBar studios in the NY metro market over the next five years. Two of these locations will introduce dual concepts, with both a CycleBar studio and a Pure Barre studio in the same building.

Rob Fioretti, Managing Director of Palladin commented, “We are excited to grow our partnership with Xponential as we begin to grow the CycleBar brand and continue to expand the Pure Barre brand and in New York and other regions. With the exclusive rights to develop both concepts in our territory, our Pure Barre and CycleBar studios will be the premier boutique fitness platform in this area offering clients a truly unique studio fitness experience.”

“We are thrilled to watch Xponential’s continued expansion,” said Mark Grabowski, Managing Partner at Snapdragon Capital Partners who backs Xponential Fitness and its brands. “The transaction will establish CycleBar’s footprint in one of the most important markets for boutique fitness, and we are excited for CycleBar to enter the New York market.

Debut of Boutique Cycling Brand Down Under Expands Footprint of Parent Company Xponential Fitness to Four Continents.

IRVINE, Calif. — Australia is “gearing up” for an indoor cycling revolution as CycleBar, the largest indoor cycling brand with over 210 studios worldwide, rides into Perth, Western Australia this week. The new studio, located in Currambine, marks the first to open in Australia, expanding the reach of CycleBar’s parent company, boutique fitness curator Xponential Fitness, to four continents and nine countries, which also includes the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Austria, Singapore and Saudi Arabia.

“Boutique cycling has been one of the hottest fitness trends in America for the past decade, if not longer, and we are excited for CycleBar to be on the forefront of that in Australia,” said John Kersh, Chief International Development Officer for Xponential Fitness. “The country’s strong demographics and vibrant fitness and wellness scene make it the perfect home for our high-energy, community-driven brand and an ideal market for rapid expansion over the next few years.”

Founded in 2004, CycleBar offers a variety of low-impact, high-intensity indoor cycling workouts, which are inclusive of all fitness levels. CycleBar offers a truly immersive, multi-sensory experience in state-of-the-art “CycleTheaters,” led by specially trained instructors known as “CycleStars”, driven by heart-pumping  “CycleBeats” playlists, and tracked using rider-specific “CycleStat” performance metrics.

The expansion of CycleBar in Australia is being driven by a Master Franchise Agreement with husband and wife entrepreneurial team Matt and Candice Gordin, along with Matt’s father Bill Gordin from Perth. The Gordins have extensive experience in both the cycling and franchising world, with Matt holding the position of CEO and Candice leading the Finance & Accounting Department for BikeExchange USA, a large marketplace for bicycle products, for close to 6 years. Both have a long history in franchising, with Candice as Operations Manager for Wild Cards & Gifts, a national gift shop franchise, and Matt as Franchisee and General Manager for Bike Force, an Australian bike retailer with 24 franchised locations. Bill Gordin founded Bike Force in 1991 and is also a seasoned competitive cyclist, with a gold medal at the World Masters Championship in 2018.

The agreement with the Gordins will bring at least 45 CycleBar studios to the country over the next several years. Last month, they signed their first official franchise agreement with a local entrepreneur, which will extend CycleBar’s reach to New South Wales with three locations in Sydney.

The opening of CycleBar in Perth continues an impressive year of international growth for the Irvine, CA-headquartered Xponential Fitness, bringing the company’s reach to nine countries. Studios are currently open in the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea and as of last month, Saudi Arabia, inside the brand new, state-of-the-art EVOX Clubs in Riyadh. Xponential has also signed deals to open studios in Germany, Austria and Singapore in the coming months.

CycleBar Among First to Install Innovative Air Purifier to Address COVID-19

Boutique Fitness Studio Boasts Safest Place to Work Out in Worcester County.

MILFORD, Mass. — Today, CycleBar Milford, a boutique fitness studio specializing in indoor cycling, announced that they are among the first fitness centers in Worcester County to install the award-winning REME HALO® in-duct air purifying unit by RGF Environmental Group, Inc. RGF first developed this technology over 20 years ago, and since then more than one million cells have been in use worldwide across health care, food processing, military and hospitality industries.  Although testing specific to the efficacy against COVID-19 is ongoing, this technology has been specified in the Norovirus and MRSA protection plan of America’s largest restaurant chains, hotel chains, theme parks, cruise lines, public schools and hospitals.

The unit is installed directly into the studio’s HVAC system and actively distributes hydro-peroxide plasma that is circulated throughout the entire studio including the cycling theatre, community room, bathrooms and front lobby. Unlike passive air technologies, which need pollutants to pass through the unit for purification or filtration, the REME HALO® in-duct air purifier sweeps through our space actively purifying pollutants at the source. The hydro-peroxide plasma has been proven to be 99% effective in neutralizing viruses, bacteria and mold in the air as well as on surfaces.

“For those that have visited our studio, you know how much pride all of the CycleBar staff members take in the cleanliness of our studio,” says owner/operator John DiChiaro. “However, despite these efforts, we recognize that members may be hesitant to return to the studio amid COVID-19 concerns. We made the decision to install the REME HALO to stay ahead of the curve and create the safest environment for people to work out and stay healthy.”

The re-opening celebration will include discounted membership specials, giveaways and “members-only” events. Follow CycleBar Milford’s social media pages to stay informed. CycleBar Milford does not have a confirmed re-opening date yet.

CycleBar Partners with Young Survival Coalition in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness

2019-10-01T10:32:02-04:00October 1st, 2019|Tags: , , , , |

Boutique Cycling Brand will Help Warriors and Survivors Turn Lemons into “Pink Lemonade”

IRVINE, Calif.CycleBar, the world’s first and largest indoor cycling franchise, announced today that it has partnered with Young Survival Coalition (YSC), the country’s oldest and largest young cancer non-profit, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. The cycling brand is launching its “Pink Lemonade” CycleGives campaign to raise money for the breast cancer organization, which provides free resources and programs to support, educate and empower women diagnosed before their 41st birthday.

YSC – with its national reach and focus on community and mind/body health for young women affected by cancer – is the ideal complement to the CycleBar experience, which is more than just a ride in the studio. It’s a uplifting, heart-pumping party on a bike, surrounded by an empowering community of riders to motivate any fitness journey.

As part of the “Pink Lemonade” campaign, CycleBar will host numerous charity classes, or CycleGives rides, in support of YSC at various locations around the nation, including studios in Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Dallas, Pensacola, and Wellington. CycleBar is no stranger to charitable giving as its CycleGives platform, which enables riders and instructors to raise money for specific causes they are most passionate about, has raised over $2 million through over 3,000 rides and 120,000 riders in under five years.

“We are honored to partner with Young Survival Coalition for this important cause,” said Ryan Junk, President of CycleBar. “Cancer is a terrible disease that has affected so many in our CycleBar community, and we want to do everything we can to show our support for these warriors and survivors.”

Jaclyn Alterwein, an instructor for CycleBar, is serving as the “Pink Lemonade” campaign ambassador, chosen because of her own battle with breast cancer a few years ago. At 47, Alterwein underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery to beat the disease. She said her recovery wouldn’t be where it is today without her job and the CycleBar community that supported her physically, mentally and emotionally along the way.
