HomeFront Brands multi-unit owner opens The Designery in Charleston this month

CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Designery, an immersive, full-service kitchen, bath and closet design center featuring high-quality cabinets, will celebrate its newest location in Charleston, South Carolina, with a grand opening on April 25 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the design center’s new location at 1217 Remount Road.

The Designery Charleston is owned by Nate Van Valkenburg, who also owns a Window Hero and Yard Patrol Pros in the area. First Quarter Emphasized Franchise Growth and Innovation

OMAHA, Neb. — Blingle!, the premier outdoor lighting franchise, opened the first quarter of 2024 in a shining way, featuring positive momentum forward to keep franchisees poised for success.

Its highlight to open the year was a shift in its franchise model, aimed to help franchisees manage their cashflow in a much more predictable manner. After hearing insight from franchisees on the support and options they wanted, Blingle! began a flat rate model. In this new model, royalties switched from a percentage of revenue to a flat monthly rate. Additionally, most of the franchisee services are now optional, ultimately saving the franchisee money if they wish to not use select services.

To pair with this new model, Nels Peterson was promoted to Vice President and Brand Leader. Peterson, an experienced lighting expert with over three decades in the industry, will serve as a day-to-day resource for the franchisees, while also over seeing all field operations. His goal in the first year of the new role is to open 24 new locations this year in tandem with launching Blingle!’s new university and training that it receives from product vendors.

Augusta Resident Finds Renewed Health During Annual National Weight Loss Competition

WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Clean Eatz team traveled out to Augusta, Georgia, recently to celebrate the culmination of this year’s We Change Livez (WCL) Challenge by surprising John Edward Johnson with news that he had been selected as 2024’s grand prize winner. With the emotional announcement came a check for $25,000; a reward for the insights and motivation that Johnson’s personal health journey offered millions throughout the country.

Johnson has struggled with weight management for the majority of his life. His adherence to dietary and exercise programs had always turned up fruitless, leaving him at 440 pounds, and in fear for his well-being. “Health complications run in the family, and actually took both of my parents from me some years back,” Johnson shared in an interview. “Truth be told, I had given up on losing weight. I was so discouraged with past experiences that required me to pour in all of this time and energy, only to end up right where I started.”

Back in 2014, Johnson began experiencing his own health complications, and after a visit with his endocrinologist, it was revealed he had a brain tumor, which would require he stay on medication for the remainder of his life. The diagnosis motivated him to reengage with his health goals, and to help with that, a good friend introduced him to Clean Eatz. It’s there he learned what proper nutrition actually looked like, and how delicious it could be. To date, he’s lost 170 pounds, and points to the franchise as the primary reason.

Celebree School in Herndon is owned and operated by local entrepreneur, Manmeet Sarang.
