PHOENIX — CarePatrol is the nation’s largest Senior Placement organization helping families find safer care options including assisted living, independent living, memory care, in-home care and nursing homes. Recognizing that the transition to a new care setting is usually following an acute care stay or medical event, CarePatrol has chosen to collaborate with Kindred at Home, the nation’s leading provider of home health, hospice and community care services, with over 45,000 employees and more than 800 locations nationwide.

“Our goal in engaging in this care collaboration is to assist in the stabilization of care for the senior in transition, provide better outcomes related to the move-in process and help with the elongation of stay over all. Kindred at Home is well prepared to provide the collaborative support and specializes in geriatric care, just like CarePatrol. Keeping our senior clients happy and healthy in the location they call home is a shared objective,” said Chuck Bongiovanni, president of CarePatrol.

“The combination of the services of CarePatrol and Kindred at Home will also support additional choice in care locations post hospital stay,” Bongiovanni states. “Providing seniors with every option in an effort to live their ‘Best Life Possible’ is our shared objective.”

Derek Nordman, chief clinical officer of Kindred at Home, said, “We are pleased to be recognized by CarePatrol and their advisors as an industry leader for home health services. A primary goal of the collaboration is to be of support to seniors and their families as they make the transition in to senior housing.”

CarePatrol and Kindred at Home will be focused on the outcomes specific to their shared clients. Franchise Business Review ranks FirstLight No. 30 out of Top 200 franchise opportunities based on survey of owner satisfaction and performance

CINCINNATI — FirstLight Home Care, a leading national provider of non-medical home care, has been named by Franchise Business Review as a top franchise opportunity for 2019 based on franchisee satisfaction and performance, ranking No. 30 on the list of 200.

More than 30,000 franchise owners were surveyed, representing 310 franchise brands, to determine the best franchises of 2019. Franchise Business Review’s top franchise list is based on franchise owner answers to questions that focused on areas such as the home office’s leadership, training, core values and also the owner’s business lifestyle and how much they enjoyed running their franchise.

“Making this list is very satisfying because it’s based on surveys of owners and shows how happy they are to be a part of the FirstLight family,” said Jeff Bevis, co-founder and CEO of FirstLight Home Care. “We feel that the key to our continued growth is to serve our home care clients exceptionally well and to do everything in our power to make our owners successful. We take the team concept very seriously and a ranking like this proves that our approach is working.”

FirstLight serves seniors, adults with disabilities, new mothers, veterans, those recovering from surgery and other adults in need of assistance. The company’s caregivers help with many needs – from personal hygiene and household duties such as cooking, cleaning and running errands to mobility assistance and dementia care.

The news comes on the heels of FirstLight being named for the second straight year to the Franchise Times Fast & Serious list. That annual ranking is based on growth, and FirstLight reported 20.1 percent sales growth in 2018.

In recent months, the company has also made the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing, privately held companies, the Franchise Times Top 200+ of the 500 largest franchise companies and Franchise Business Review’s Top 100 Franchises for Innovation and Top Franchises for Veterans lists.

American Family Care Named to Franchise 500 List for Sixth Consecutive Year

2019-01-16T17:57:50-05:00January 16th, 2019|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , |

Healthcare Leader Ranked Among World’s Top Franchisors by Entrepreneur Magazine

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — For the sixth consecutive year, American Family Care (AFC) has earned a spot on Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500®, one of the world’s most admired business rankings. This year, AFC is ranked #107 on the distinguished list, continuing a steady climb the company has enjoyed since its inaugural appearance at #405 on the list in 2013. The Franchise 500 ranking recognizes AFC for its exceptional performance in areas including financial strength and stability, growth rate, and brand power.

With more than 200 medical centers and $500MM in annual system-wide revenue, AFC’s rapid growth has been driven by the nation’s need for high-quality, accessible healthcare, as well as the company’s focus on patient satisfaction. “We are delighted to again be included among some of the most respected franchisors in the U.S.,” said D. Bruce Irwin, M.D., Founder and CEO of AFC. “Our success is the result of the dedication our employees and franchisees have for delivering compassionate, convenient healthcare to our patients around the corner and around the nation.”

Similar to traditional hospital systems, the AFC franchise model combines skilled physicians with successful business people to deliver quality healthcare, conveniently and in an economical manner. The model has been so successful that since 2102 AFC has grown its revenue at a 37.1 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) and now serves nearly 3 million patients annually. “Our robust and steady growth is proof that AFC’s patient-centric model is at the forefront of a revolution in healthcare,” says Randy Johansen, President of AFC. “More telling than our growth is the number of multi-unit franchisees we now have within our system. The success they have enjoyed with their initial locations has surely been a driving factor in our success,” concluded Johansen.

Joining AFC on this year’s Franchise 500 list in the healthcare category were:

  • Miracle-Ear Inc. – #63
  • Pearle Vision – #75
  • The Joint Corp. – #109
  • GNC – #142
  • Relax The Back Corp. – #357
  • Massage Envy – #358

During its 40 years in existence, the Franchise 500 has become recognized as an important industry measurement tool for franchisors and a primary research tool for potential franchisees. American Family Care’s sustained presence in the ranking is a testament to its strength as a franchise opportunity. “As we celebrate 40 years of producing the Franchise 500, it’s a good opportunity to step back and look at how much has changed since that first ranking in 1980,” says Jason Feifer, Editor-in-Chief of Entrepreneur. “While the franchise business model has changed little, the strongest franchise brands are constantly evolving and innovating to keep up with changing trends and technology.”

About American Family Care:

Founded by Dr. Bruce Irwin with a single location in 1982, American Family Care has pioneered the concept of convenient, patient-centric healthcare. Today, with more than 200 clinics and 600 in-network physicians caring for nearly 3 million patients a year, AFC is the nation’s leading provider of urgent care, accessible primary care, and occupational medicine. Ranked by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S., AFC’s stated mission is to provide the best healthcare possible, in a kind and caring environment, while respecting the rights of all patients, in an economical manner, at times and locations convenient to the patient.
