Local owners Chris and Tiffany Kiszkiel say they are excited to provide businesses with a safer and cleaner temporary wall solution during times of expansion

HOUSTON — Temporary Wall Systems (TWS), the first and leading full-service, temporary containment wall provider in the United States, is celebrating the grand opening of its new Houston location with a booth at the Houston Build Expo on June 26 and 27 at the NRG Park Center.

Temporary Wall Systems owners Chris and Tiffany Kiszkiel said they are excited to offer Houston businesses with safe and reusable temporary walls that protect their customers, employees and property from renovation and construction activities. The owners will be at Booth 247 at the regional building and construction expo.

Houston is one of the nation’s fastest growing cities, and that means that there is a lot of construction and renovation going on here at all times,” Chris Kiszkiel said. “Many businesses want to stay open while they expand or renovate, but they have to protect their employees and customers from the perils of construction when they do. Our temporary walls go up easily, offer protection during construction, and then come down easily and can be reused once renovations are completed.”

The Kiszkiels are both Houston natives and have spent most of their professional lives working for the freight and transportation industries. Chris Kiszkiel owned and managed trucking companies and also worked in maintenance and logistics, while Tiffany Kiszkiel worked in sales and fleet management.

“Owning our own franchise is a dream come true,” Tiffany Kiszkiel said. “Every day at our Temporary Wall Systems location will be motivating, and we’ll be following our passion and our dream of creating financial independence.”

They also want to create generational wealth they can pass on to their four sons.

Temporary Wall Systems Houston services businesses in Bunker Hill Village, Hedwig VillageHouston, Hunters Creek Village, Midtown, Piney Point Village, The Memorial Villages and West University Place.

TWS is part of HomeFront Brands, a family of emerging, franchised residential and commercial property service brands that offers integrated technology, data support, lead generation, business intelligence systems and training to its partners.

Temporary Wall Systems owners Brendan and Courtney Mahoney will host a booth at the event, which showcases planned military construction in the Northwest region. The event runs from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and features presentations from the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, the U.S. Coast Guard and other agencies, information booths and networking opportunities.

The Mahoneys both grew up in the Seattle area and want to provide their hometowns with employment opportunities and environmentally friendly solutions.

Brendan Mahoney received his undergraduate degree from the University of Montana, and a master’s degree from Seattle University. He also spent eight years with the U.S. Marine Corps as a reconnaissance and infantry officer and was deployed into combat zones three times between 2006 and 2013. Temporary Wall Systems widens its Texas footprint with a new location in Austin

Local owners Kipp and Brooke Koeppel say their reusable containment system is perfect for a growing city like Austin that is also concerned with environmental impact

AUSTIN, Texas — Temporary Wall Systems (TWS), the first and leading full-service, temporary containment wall provider in the United States, will introduce its new Austin, Texas, location at the Austin Build Expo at the Palmer Events Center on May 22-23.

Temporary Wall Systems Austin owners Kipp and Brooke Koeppel will be on-hand at Booth 333 to give out information about the company and will offer a giveaway of a YETI 24 hard cooler.

“We’re excited about our new Temporary Wall Systems venture and look forward to bringing a cleaner, more efficient containment and abatement solution to the Austin construction industry,” Kipp Koeppel said. “Austin is a rapidly growing city, and there is a lot of construction and renovation as a result. Our system will allow businesses to safely expand and reinvent themselves while continuing to operate as usual and do it in a way that is better for the environment.”

The Koeppels moved to Austin in 2020 after spending several years in Charlotte, North Carolina. The couple met while selling advertising at an Alabama newspaper. Kipp Koeppel then spent the next 15 years in the financial services industry in a variety of positions, including 401(k) recordkeeping, sales and relationship management.

Brooke Koeppel continued her work in sales before eventually moving on to staffing and then financial advisor recruiting for several large financial institutions.

In addition to their corporate jobs, the couple also invested in real estate and rental properties over the past 14 years, doing a lot of the renovation work themselves. It is with this experience that they saw a need in the market for reliable contractors with a focus on customer service.

After moving to Austin, the couple introduced The Brothers that just do Gutters franchise to the area and have since earned recognition as a “Best Place to Work” by the Austin Business Journal in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

“We love Austin’s unique vibe, plentiful outdoor activities, delicious food options and live music scene,” Brooke Koeppel said. “Opening another franchise in this community just solidified our commitment to invest in Austin and all it has to offer.”

The couple believes their experience in sales, marketing, recruiting, HR, accounting, operations, home improvement and social media will prove valuable in launching their TWS location.

The International Franchise Association’s new accelerator program seeks to increase franchise business ownership to narrow wealth gap

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — HomeFront Brands, a property service franchise platform comprising five emerging brands, today announced its support for the International Franchise Association (IFA)’s new Franchise Ascension Initiative, an accelerator program established to support individuals from underrepresented communities with education, mentorship, resources and financial support so they can successfully launch a career in franchise ownership.

By increasing diversity in the franchisee talent pipeline, the Franchise Ascension Initiative aims to narrow the wealth gap and provide qualified individuals with business ownership opportunities.

“Franchising is one of the greatest pathways to business ownership and creating generational wealth,” said IFA President and CEO Matt Haller. “This program ensures that access to opportunity is available to everyone, regardless of background. What better way to bridge the wealth gap than by opening more doors for minority business owners. With the support of our generous partners like HomeFront Brands, the Ascension Initiative will further help franchising change lives and communities.”

As a Founding Supporter, HomeFront Brands will donate $10,000 annually over the next five years for a total contribution of $50,000. The company’s donations will help launch the accelerator program, which will begin accepting applications in the coming months. The first group of participants is expected in late 2024.

“HomeFront Brands is committed to supporting diverse and underserved communities as part of our core values of community, accountability, respect, excellence and service,” HomeFront Brands Chairman and CEO Jeff Dudan said. “We’re excited to be a part of the IFA’s Franchise Ascension Initiative and proud to work toward the goal of helping qualified individuals reach their goals of business ownership.”

According to data from Oxford Economics, Black-owned franchises earn 2.2 times more than Black-owned independent businesses; Hispanic-owned franchises earn 1.6 times more than Hispanic-owned independent businesses; and Asian-owned franchises earn 1.4 times more than Asian-owned independent businesses.

The Franchise Ascension Initiative will select capable candidates for a rigorous six-month education program to help them build the essential skills they need to be successful franchisees. Building on IFA’s extensive library of franchise educational materials, the program will be specifically curated for participants, along with individualized mentorship. The program will culminate in a pitch contest with potential franchise opportunities.

HomeFront Brands offers community-based franchise opportunities to aspiring entrepreneurs seeking to build a dynasty and create generational wealth. By leveraging data-driven insights and enterprise-level solutions with a focus on community-based franchising, HomeFront Brands has seen tremendous growth since its inception in February 2022.

Temporary Wall Systems announces the opening of three new Detroit area locations at regional construction convention

The owners of Temporary Wall Systems Ann Arbor, Farmington Hills and Sterling Heights will showcase their modular walls at the Great Lakes Design & Construction Expo

DETROIT — Temporary Wall Systems (TWS), the first and leading full-service, temporary containment wall provider in the United States, will celebrate the opening of three new greater Detroit area locations with a booth at the Great Lakes Design & Construction Expo on Feb. 14 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan.

Temporary Wall Systems Ann Arbor and Sterling Heights, owned by the husband-and-wife team, Scott and Nadine Harrison, and Temporary Wall Systems Farmington Hills, owned by Lee Ritter, are joining forces to showcase their temporary containment walls to Southeast Michigan construction contractors, builders and remodelers at Booth No. 419. They will be giving away a Yeti 45 Hard Cooler at the event.

“We have lived in a variety of locations around the U.S., and there is no other place that we wanted to start our business together than right here in Metro Detroit, which is where I was born and raised,” said Scott Harrison. “Nadine and I have been married for 30 years and have raised two children. Now, we want to extend our partnership to include the ownership of Temporary Wall Systems Ann Arbor and Sterling Heights. We want to build a legacy together.”

Harrison’s professional background in film production, marketing and advertising works seamlessly with Nadine Harrison’s background in sales, customer service and event planning. The couple wants to combine their skills to offer local builders a sustainable and durable, yet temporary containment option that protect people and property from construction.

“I’ve worked in several exciting industries, from riverboats to planning private events,” Nadine Harrison said. “But starting this venture with Scott is my most exhilarating experience to date. We’re thrilled to connect with our extensive local contacts to bring this modern product to market and position our businesses for success.”

Ritter, who boasts 12 years of service in the Air National Guard, is passionate about Michigan’s natural beauty.

“The modular walls that Temporary Wall Systems provides align with my love for the great outdoors because they limit the amount of construction waste that enters local landfills,” he said. “There’s no reason to build temporary walls out of permanent material that must be torn down and thrown away. TWS’s rental-ready solutions solve that crucial problem.”

Ritter has a bachelor’s degree in aviation flight technology and has a background in business ownership and financial management.

The Great Lakes Design & Construction Expo is hosted by the Construction Association of Michigan and the Home Builders Association of Southeastern Michigan. The one-day event brings together residential and commercial contractors, home builders, suppliers and service providers to exchange ideas on the solutions and tools to improve the industry’s success and growth.

TWS is part of HomeFront Brands, a family of emerging, franchised residential and commercial property service brands that offers integrated technology, data support, lead generation, business intelligence systems and training to its partners.

Local owner Andrea Beltran plans to introduce her franchise location to area architects and others in the building design and management fields at the event

EL PASO, Texas — Temporary Wall Systems (TWS), the first and leading full-service, temporary containment wall provider in the United States, will celebrate the opening of its new El Paso location by sponsoring the American Institute of Architects 2023-2024 Architecture Gala on Friday, Jan. 26.

Temporary Wall Systems El Paso is a gold sponsor of the event and owner Andrea Beltran said she plans to introduce her company’s unique containment walls to El Paso’s leading architects, designers and property managers at the gala.

“As an El Paso native, I’m delighted to be able to offer TWS’s customized solutions to the construction and design community here in west Texas,” she said. “It will be an honor to provide trusted containment solutions that will help minimize costs while also providing an environmentally sound alternative. I understand clients who are facing time constraints and high demand and want to provide them with the customizable solutions that meet their goals.”

Beltran is a graduate of J. M. Hanks High School in El Paso. She received her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and a graduate degree from the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, Vermont.

She has experience in the construction industry, having worked for a flooring company that specializes in the multi-family and retail and commercial markets for 18 years. She started at the company as a sales representative and worked her way up to serve as the company’s executive vice president of sales.

“My family worked in building and remodeling homes, so construction and housing are in my wheelhouse,” Beltran said. “I love El Paso—its culture, the mountains that surround this desert landscape, the food. I especially love being close to my family. It will be a joy to serve and connect with people in my hometown through this new Temporary Wall Systems location.”
