Local owner Jon Williamson also nets the Top Producer of the Year at the 2023 HomeFront Brands franchisee convention

ATLANTA — Temporary Wall Systems (TWS) North Georgia owner Jon Williamson was presented with both the Franchisee of the Year and the Top Producer of the Year awards for his relentless hard work and sales achievements within the HomeFront Brands franchise network.

Williamson was presented with the awards at the HomeFront Brands “Homecoming” convention held in November at the company’s headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. HomeFront Brands is the parent company of Temporary Wall Systems, and the convention was held to bring together franchisees, corporate employees and vendor partners to celebrate the company’s accelerated growth since its inception in late 2022.

Jon Williamson’s unmatched zeal, commitment and sales excellence are a complement to the HomeFront Brands team,” said HomeFront Brands Chairman and CEO Jeff Dudan. “The remarkable progress HomeFront Brands has made in its first year was on display at our conference, and Jon’s contributions certainly added to our remarkable success. He is a fantastic example of what persistence and dedication can achieve.”

Williams took home trophies for his wins, along with a $2,000 contribution to his digital marketing budget from the HomeFront Brands team – $500 for the Top Producer of the Year and $1,500 for winning the Franchisee of the Year.

“I feel very privileged to be recognized as both the Top Producer of the Year and the Franchisee of the Year for the TWS brand,” Williamson said. “I’m profoundly proud of my team’s work in the North Georgia area and being acknowledged for our efforts is truly a humbling experience. When we opened, we simply wanted to offer a solid, reusable product and provide quality service. Winning awards for achieving what we set out to do is genuinely fulfilling.”

Williamson opened his North Georgia location earlier in 2023 after having worked in sales for most of his career. He also owns a Temporary Wall Systems franchise in the Nashville area and has a family-owned holding company comprised of several businesses and investments spanning across multiple industries. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business.

Notably, the company recognized its first-ever overall HomeFront Brands Franchisee of the Year. Brent Chapman, franchisee of Window Hero and Top Rail Fence in the Triad region of North Carolina, earned this honor. The full list of award winners is noted below.

Additionally, the brand revealed its new tagline at the conference, “The family of brands that C.A.R.E.S.” This highlights the company’s five core values: community, accountability, respect, excellence and service.

“Being able to come together as a true family of brands for the first time ever is a remarkable reminder of how far HomeFront Brands has come since our founding,” said Jeff Dudan, Chairman and CEO of HomeFront Brands. “This year has been one of incredible expansion, both for the company as a whole and our concepts. We’re feeling energized going into 2024 knowing that we will continue to see exponential growth across all brands.”

While in Charlotte, everyone in attendance had the opportunity to partake in a charitable giveback event in partnership with Operation Homefront, one of two charitable organizations that HomeFront Brands announced as partners during the convention, the other being The Carson Scholars. To further build-upon the company’s commitment to these organizations, during the convention the group built bikes to donate to Operation Homefront, and donated $20,000 to both charities. The convention also provided opportunities for connection between brands and franchisees, as well as professional growth. Multi-Brand Franchise Platform Kicks Off First-Annual Franchise Convention Sharing Major News of Charitable Partnerships with Two Deserving Nonprofits

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — HomeFront Brands, the property service franchise platform with six emerging concepts in its franchise portfolio, announced today its partnerships with two prominent national nonprofit organizations, Operation Homefront and The Carson Scholars Foundation. Reflecting its own recently established tagline, “The family of brands that C.A.R.E.S” (the company’s five core values: Community, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Service), HomeFront Brands announced the charitable partnerships to its franchise community, corporate employees and vendor partners during the company’s inaugural franchise convention, taking place November 5, 6 and 7 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“We are beyond grateful to partner with two remarkable organizations that align so perfectly with our mission and values at HomeFront Brands,” said Jeff Dudan, Chairman and CEO of HomeFront Brands. “These partnerships reflect our shared commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders and expressing our profound appreciation to the courageous individuals who have selflessly served our nation. I, as well as the rest of my team, am looking forward to the meaningful impact we can make now and into the future in tandem with Operation Homefront and The Carson Scholars Foundation.”

Since 2002, Operation Homefront has been proudly serving America’s military families. The nonprofit organization provides relief and recurring family support programs and services throughout the year to help military families overcome short-term difficulties so that they don’t become long-term hardships. Prior to the partnership announcement, HomeFront Brands made an initial donation of $20,000 to the organization, and in addition, has set a goal to raise more than $50,000 in 2024 for its military families. Additional commitments of the partnership include helping to provide transitional homes for veterans, awarding recipients of the nonprofit’s Military Child of the Year with laptops to support their educational endeavors, participating in the organization’s 11 days of impact for Veterans Day and more. HomeFront Brands is recognized as a one star partner of Operation Homefront.

The Carson Scholars Foundation is a nonprofit organization that seeks to combat the American education crisis by rewarding excellence in the nation’s youth through its Scholarship programs and by developing reading rooms in libraries and schools across the country through The Ben Carson Reading Project initiative. Through an initial donation of $20,000, HomeFront Brands will be donating a state-of-the-art reading room to a deserving school in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, reaffirming its commitment to promoting literacy and education within its local community. The donation will mark the beginning of a nationwide expansion effort, where HomeFront Brands aims to replicate the reading room donation in schools across the country.

“Leading by example has always been a fundamental principle at HomeFront Brands,” continued Dudan. “Embarking on these transformative partnerships will serve as a guiding light, not just for our dedicated franchisees, but for everyone affiliated with HomeFront Brands. We’re thrilled to be launching both partnerships with our initial donations, which serve as a catalyst to propel our collective efforts into action.”

HomeFront Brands offers community-based franchise opportunities to aspiring entrepreneurs seeking to build a dynasty and create generational wealth. Local owners look to sustainable nature of the Willamette Valley community to build a successful reusable containment system company

EUGENE, Ore. Temporary Wall Systems (TWS), the first and leading full-service temporary containment wall provider in the United States, will launch its Willamette Valley location by hosting a table at the Associated Builders and Contractors Pacific Northwest Chapter’s 8th Annual Craft Championship on Friday, Oct. 20 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Camp Withycombe in Clackamas, Oregon.

TWS Willamette Valley owners Mark Sheppard and Thomas Pettus-Czar will provide cash prizes to participants who can hit the bullseye on a dartboard at the table. One bullseye nets a $5 prize, two bullseyes win a $20 prize and three bullseyes win a $100 prize.

Both owners say their new Temporary Wall Systems location will provide local contractors with a better and more sustainable product to protect people and property from construction and renovation projects. Eugene, Oregon, the largest city in the Willamette Valley area, is known as a leader in sustainability with a history of commitment to climate action, according to the city’s website.

“That’s the most exciting part about owning a TWS in this area,” Pettus-Czar said. “LaneBenton and Deschutes counties are all experiencing significant growth and modernization. This revitalization will mean that many companies will need to remodel occupied space. Our product satisfies a critical need to provide contractors with a sustainable and reusable wall system that is particularly attractive to the people of this community who value this approach.”

Sheppard agrees and says his company’s product provides developers with a temporary containment option that won’t put unnecessary building materials in the area’s landfills.

“This business will help contractors, project managers and business owners have more successful outcomes for their projects,” he said. “We’re very excited about the product and the solutions it provides. There are so many practical applications for this sustainable and temporary system.”

Pettus-Czar and Sheppard have a history of building successful companies together. The two co-own Farmers Union Coffee Roasters, which was recently voted the best coffee shop in Eugene, Oregon.

Sheppard grew up in Willamette Valley and said his childhood was spent picking fruit in the area’s many local orchards.

“I learned about growing and working with food, which gave me a deep appreciation of the land,” he said. “I’ve also been involved in the remodeling, buildout and opening of many small businesses. It was the combination of my love of the land and my experiences building up small businesses that drew me to Temporary Wall Systems.”

Sheppard received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon. He is married and has two children.

For his part, Pettus-Czar was born in Texas, grew up in New Mexico, and holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Kansas and the University of Oregon. He moved to Eugene in 2009 and has stayed in the area ever since. He is married and has a 2-year-old son.

“This community is great,” he said. “You get a lot of bang for your buck, and it’s a great place to raise a family. It’s hard to beat.”

Temporary Wall Systems provides modular wall systems that are designed with versatility in mind. The company’s full-service business model simplifies construction and renovation by taking care of the entire containment process, from job site delivery to expert installation and removal when the project is complete. The Willamette Valley location serves Albany, Bend, Eugene, Redmond and Springfield, Oregon.

TWS is part of HomeFront Brands, a family of emerging, franchised residential and commercial property service brands that offers integrated technology, data support, lead generation, business intelligence systems and training to its partners.

Pacific Northwest native opens new Temporary Wall Systems in West Portland

2023-10-12T13:25:56-04:00October 12th, 2023|Tags: , , , , |

Local owner James Taylor plans to use his experience as a construction project manager to build his containment wall business

PORTLAND, Ore. — Temporary Wall Systems (TWS), the first and leading full-service, temporary containment wall provider in the United States, will celebrate the grand opening of its West Portland, Oregon location Oct. 18 – 20 during the AGCA Leadership Development Conference at the Hilton Vancouver, Washington.

The conference brings together emerging leaders from across the nation’s construction industry for professional development and networking.

Local owner James Taylor will rely on his experience as a construction project manager to make the new containment wall system business a success.

“This phase of my professional development is an exciting time for me,” Taylor said. “Making the change from a project manager to an owner/operator will be a challenge but, it’s an experience I’m ready to explore. I plan to involve my family and can’t wait to provide my children with the experience of owning and operating our own family business.”

Taylor has spent his entire life in the Pacific Northwest and knows the area well. He lived in WashingtonMontana and Oregon before moving to Indiana to attend Purdue University. He eventually moved back to the Pacific Northwest to complete a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Oregon State University.

He said TWS is the perfect business for him, given his background in the building trades.

“Temporary Wall Systems’ rentable containment walls are the perfect solution for contractors in the Portland area,” Taylor said. “Having worked in the contracting space for more than 20 years, I know firsthand that these walls solve a problem that many contractors have. It’s often a waste of time and materials to build a temporary wall with permanent materials only to tear it down once construction or renovations are completed. This product is the perfect solution to that issue.”

Taylor said the TWS’s product is critical to businesses that need to perform renovations while remaining open to employees and to the public.

“Many businesses can’t afford to shut down just because they need to make upgrades,” he said. “And some businesses, like hospitals and schools, for example, must remain open because of the services they provide. These walls allow them to maintain a clean and safe environment for workers, students and customers.”

Temporary Wall Systems provides modular wall systems that are designed with versatility in mind. The company’s full-service business model simplifies construction and renovation by taking care of the entire containment process, from job site delivery to expert installation and removal when the project is complete. The West Portland location serves BeavertonLake OswegoPortlandTualatin and West Linn, Oregon.

Local owner Matt Greene and General Manager Kristin Lum-Perreira will host an event at the Air Force Academy game this weekend and a grand opening luncheon in October.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Matt Greene, a 23-year U.S. Air Force veteran and current construction company chief, announced today that the company will host an event for Temporary Wall Systems (TWS) Colorado Springs, the first and leading full-service temporary containment wall provider in the United States, at the Air Force Falcons game against the San Diego State Aztecs on Saturday, Sept. 30.

They will also host a grand opening lunch and learn event on Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at their new office at 3104 Century Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado. The wall containment company will provide a barbeque meal for attendees of the luncheon event.

Lum-Perreira will handle TWS Colorado Springs’ day-to-day operations while Greene continues his role as the CEO of MAVericks Construction, also located in Colorado Springs.

“Colorado Springs is a booming city with a thriving high-tech, military, healthcare and tourism base,” Greene said. “Because the city is undergoing this wave of expansion, Temporary Wall Systems Colorado Springs will fill a very real need in the community. Our rentable and reusable containment walls are a perfect option for businesses to separate people and property from ongoing renovations and construction so they stay safe and protected.”

Greene, an Arkansas native, moved to Colorado Springs in 1989 to attend the United States Air Force Academy. After retiring from the Air Force in 2017, he started MAVericks Construction. He also received a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

She was born in Tacoma, Washington, but moved to Oahu, Hawaii, where she was raised. She moved to Colorado Springs in 2019 and has worked in operations and management for a variety of companies in residential and commercial construction and federal contract management.

“I love the challenge of starting new things, so it’s exciting to be a part of a brand-new company,” she said. “Matt and his team are tremendously supportive and are proven winners. It will be an honor to learn from him and expand TWS Colorado Springs during this time of growth for the city.”

Greene says he hopes TWS Colorado Springs will provide the community with employment opportunities, and he looks forward to giving back to the area that has been his home off and on for more than 11 years.

Temporary Wall Systems opens its first Colorado location in South Denver

2023-09-26T09:46:41-04:00September 26th, 2023|Tags: , , , |

New location will make reusable wall systems widely available for renovation and construction, supporting the forward-thinking city’s commitment to reducing waste.

DENVER — Temporary Wall Systems (TWS), the first and leading full-service, temporary containment wall provider in the United States, will highlight its grand opening with a booth at the International Facility Management Association’s World Workplace Expo on Sept. 27 – 29 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.

The new business is owned by Mike Guy, and he will be available at booth 488 along with one of the reusable walls on display for attendees to view.

Guy, who has worked as an IT consultant, owns and rents several properties throughout Denver, and he’s familiar with the renovation process. He’s ready to show eco-conscious Denverites how TWS will allow them complete renovations without having to waste building supplies traditionally used for temporary containment.

“Owning and operating Colorado’s first Temporary Wall Systems in an environmentally conscious city like Denver is a great opportunity for me to support its sustainability initiatives,” Guy said. “I’m proud to be part of the solution. I want to help business owners and contractors make a positive change by giving them new options for reducing construction waste.”

In November, Denver voters approved an ordinance that would require that most construction and demolition waste be recycled and that a recycling and reuse plan be submitted to the city prior to obtaining a construction or demolition permit. The Waste No More Implementation Task Force is in the process of finalizing its recommendations to implement the new ordinance.

“When the new ordinance begins, we want Denver to know we’re here to help,” Guy said.

Guy has been part of the Denver community for more than 25 years. In addition to his work as an IT consultant, he has a real estate license and has bought and sold residential properties in the area for several years. He and his wife, Heather, have two children, and the family enjoys outdoor activities.

“There are 10 Fortune 500 companies headquartered in the Denver area, and it has the third busiest airport in the country,” Guy said. “There is a lot of growth in the community, and with that growth comes the necessity to renovate and improve some of the area’s older commercial buildings. We can help businesses grow with cleaner, faster temporary containment barriers. They’re so effective, they can even be used in occupied spaces so businesses can remain open during renovation.”

TWS South Denver provides modular wall systems that are designed with versatility in mind. Its full-service business model simplifies construction and renovation by taking care of the entire containment process, from job site delivery to expert installation and removal when the project is complete. The South Denver location will serve DenverAuroraParkerEnglewoodCastle RockMorrison and Littleton, Colorado.

Temporary Wall Systems Opening New Locations in Kansas and Missouri

2023-09-15T10:00:00-04:00September 15th, 2023|Tags: , , , |

Local owners in Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas team up to provide the temporary, rentable containment walls on both sides of the city’s state line divide.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Temporary Wall Systems (TWS), the first and leading full-service, temporary containment wall provider in the United States, is opening two new locations on both sides of the MissouriKansas state line and will showcase their rentable wall solutions at Innovation Expo 2023 on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

Innovation Expo is held from 8 to 11 a.m. at The Builders Training Center on 105 W. 12th Avenue, North Kansas City, Missouri. The expo allows exhibitors to demonstrate the latest in construction technology to industry professionals.

For Cody and Andrea Herbster, owning the TWS in Kansas City, Kansas, is a goal the husband-and-wife duo has wanted to achieve for several years. The couple expects these easy-to-build and easy-to-remove walls will save contractors in their area hours, if not days, on building containment walls during renovations and construction.

“I’ve talked to several contractors in this area, and they are adamant about the need for these walls,” Cody Herbster said. “We want to build long-lasting relationships with members of the contracting community. Having a product that saves time and headaches will go a long way toward building those relationships.”

The Herbsters’ counterpart in Kansas City, MissouriMike Macy, agrees that the product helps contractors. He further points out that the walls are a cleaner and more environmentally friendly alternative to using permanent construction material for temporary containment walls.

“Owning and operating my own business has been a dream of mine for several years,” Macy said. “Introducing an ecologically sound product that also saves contractors time and money is a win-win for both the construction industry and the environment. It’s an honor to be able to provide this product to the Kansas City construction community.”

Both sets of owners said that the Kansas City Metro area is growing, and they see that many new businesses are being adaptive in renovating older buildings. HomeFront Brands Names Michael O’Driscoll President of Franchising

Multi-Brand Franchise Platform Promotes Accomplished Executive to Further Company’s Commitment to Being a Franchisee-First Focused Organization; Maintains COO Role.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — HomeFront Brands, the property service franchise platform with six emerging concepts in its franchise portfolio (Window Hero, The Designery, Temporary Wall Systems, BiltRite Home Inspections, Top Rail Fence and Mozzie Dome), announced that it has appointed Michael O’Driscoll to the role of President of Franchising. Promoted to oversee and lead the company’s operations, marketing and finance departments, O’Driscoll is heading the HomeFront Brands efforts to scale the leadership and corporate support teams, as well as its robust shared services programs, to reinforce the company’s commitment to supporting franchisees

“Over the years, I’ve had the chance to hone in on the core of what it takes to create a winning franchise business, and HomeFront Brands is the embodiment of just that,” said O’Driscoll, who brandishes a 36-year career in franchising holding executive level roles with both U.S.-based and overseas-based companies. “In early 2022, Chairman and CEO Jeff Dudan launched HomeFront Brands to be the most responsible franchise platform. His approach to put the franchisee at the center of everything we do hit home with me and it’s working wonderfully. Our first 12 months have been nothing short of extraordinary. We still have plenty of work to do to fully build out our support model for franchisees. The job will never really be done.”

O’Driscoll’s time with HomeFront Brands began less than nine months after its launch, serving as the company’s COO, a role he maintains along with his new title. His responsibilities thus far have included oversight of franchisee onboarding, franchisee coaching, call center operations, technology, data analytics, learning and development and the company’s annual convention. A key contributor to the HomeFront Brands shared services model, the franchise industry veteran brings more than three decades of experience to the President of Franchising position. Like with HomeFront Brands, the companies he has worked for have primarily been in property services, although he’s seen the sector at a global level. Launching his career in Australia, his home country, O’Driscoll has held leadership positions at the franchisor and franchise supplier levels with expertise in building models to scale, operations and finance. He is a proven company leader and successful entrepreneur in the franchise industry.

“Few are as dynamic as Michael,” said Dudan, who, before hiring O’Driscoll as a HomeFront Brands executive, turned to him as a consultant. “He was a key focal point for me in building out the company, and someone I trust implicitly to see through our goals.”

Working closely with Dudan to continue to elevate HomeFront Brands and cement it as an enterprise level business based on family values, O’Driscoll has his sights set on the company’s 10-year plan to build a 100-year company. As part of the leadership team, within the past year, HomeFront Brands and its platform’s six franchise brands, Window Hero, The Designery, Temporary Wall Systems, BiltRite Home Inspections, Top Rail Fence and Mozzie Dome, have opened more than 100 territories, with another 100-plus sold and in the process of opening. He has shaped each of the concepts as attractive franchise investments with minimized barriers to entry – lower start-up costs, fast to open, quick to generate revenue and simplified multi-concept, multi-territory ownership. He has implemented a world class learning management system which reduces training time and is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In addition to his successes at HomeFront Brands and prior, O’Driscoll has been active in franchise advocacy and industrywide leadership, serving on Boards and committees for the Franchise Council of Australia and the International Franchise Association, for which he currently serves on the Membership Committee.

Temporary Wall Systems expands into Pennsylvania with new Allentown location

2023-09-07T10:10:56-04:00September 7th, 2023|Tags: , , , |

The location owners will provide the Allentown and Lancaster area with rentable, reusable containment walls that will limit waste during construction and renovation projects.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Temporary Wall Systems (TWS), the first and leading full-service, temporary containment wall provider in the United States, has expanded its services into Pennsylvania with a new Allentown/Lancaster location. The business is owned by Randy and Winona Smith, a husband and wife team dedicated to providing the area with a sustainable containment option.

“Temporary Wall Systems is a great opportunity for us to offer a new solution in the construction and renovation space that is more sustainable, economical and environmentally friendly,” Randy Smith said. “Currently, when a business owner has to separate an area he is renovating from the occupied space, the construction crew has to use drywall and other permanent materials to build a wall. With the TWS system, we provide a reusable and sustainable option that won’t be going to waste after it’s no longer needed.”

Smith said the couple is excited to be a part of the TWS franchise because they believe in the philosophy behind the modular wall company and its commitment to being an environmentally responsible containment alternative.

“Winona and I love this area and have lived here most of our lives,” he said. “This area has a great combination of medium and small towns near one another. It has a mixture of very rural areas and quaint towns scattered across rolling hills and farms but with the added bonus of being near the big city of Philadelphia. We want to preserve the aesthetic of this area. TWS will afford us with the opportunity to do just that.”

This business is a second act for the Smiths. Randy Smith has a mechanical engineering degree from Widener University and an MBA from the Keller Graduate School and spent nearly 35 years in machine engineering and manufacturing, serving as the president of NETZSCH Premier Technologies before opening his TWS location. Winona Smith received her nursing degree from Widener University and works as a pediatric nurse for Reading Hospital.

The couple have been married for 35 years and have two adult children and a granddaughter.

“We know our strong technical skills, experience managing a team and commitment to customer service will help us make our TWS location a success,” Randy Smith said. “We’re proud to offer a cost-effective system that provides a needed service in a safe manner. There is a lot of growth in the area and we’re here to meet the needs of the community as it builds more homes, schools, hospitals and infrastructure.”

Temporary Wall Systems provides modular wall systems that are designed with versatility in mind. The company’s full-service business model simplifies construction and renovation by taking care of the entire containment process, from job site delivery to expert installation and removal when the project is complete.
