Xponential Fitness Lands Three Brands on Entrepreneur’s 2021 Franchise 500®

2021-01-25T14:31:17-05:00January 25th, 2021|Tags: , , , , , , , , |

Club Pilates, Pure Barre and CycleBar Rank at 104, 119, and 351 Respectively on the Coveted List.

IRVINE, Calif. — 2020 did not hold back the brands of Xponential Fitness, the largest curator of premium boutique fitness brands across eight different verticals. Three of the company’s brands – Club Pilates, Pure Barre and CycleBar – landed a spot in Entrepreneur magazine’s coveted 2021 Franchise 500 list as a result of another year of impressive unit growth, financial strength and stability and brand power. Club Pilates was ranked 104; Pure Barre was ranked 119, up from its previous spot of 300; and CycleBar landed at 351, up 128 spots from last year.

“The strong showing on Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 across these three Xponential Fitness brands demonstrates that boutique fitness is here to stay and the best is yet to come,” said Sarah Luna, President of Xponential Fitness. “Our members love the world-class workouts and unmatched sense of community we provide, whether that’s inside our studios or virtually, and these rankings are a testament to our franchise owners’ passion, commitment and hard work day in and day out, especially given the challenges 2020 presented them.”

In Entrepreneur’s continuing effort to best understand and evaluate the ever-changing franchise marketplace, the company’s 42-year-old ranking formula continues to evolve as well. The key factors that go into the evaluation include costs and fees, size and growth, support, brand strength, and financial strength and stability. Each franchise is given a cumulative score based on an analysis of more than 150 data points, and the 500 franchises with the highest cumulative scores become the Franchise 500® in ranking order.

While some fitness brands struggled to find their footing following the onset of the pandemic and other challenges that arose in 2020, Xponential Fitness proved to be a beacon of resilience and creativity in the industry. When adversity struck, franchise owners were empowered to pivot by offering outdoor and virtual workouts, with some brands even renting out equipment to keep members healthy and engaged. The company’s strategies have proven effective as it has retained more than 86% of members across all eight brands, which also include YogaSix, Row House, StretchLab, AKT, and STRIDE.

Xponential Fitness also saw extensive growth over the past year, signing numerous franchise deals and opening new locations around the world, even at the height of the coronavirus pandemic. Notably, the company opened five brands in Saudi Arabia, including Club Pilates, Pure Barre, AKT, YogaSix, and CycleBar locations, as well as the first of many CycleBar studios in Australia. Exciting new franchise agreements signed will also bring Xponential studios to Germany, Singapore, Spain and the Dominican Republic.

Beyond the in-studio experience in 2020, Xponential debuted online workouts across all of its brands last year through its proprietary streaming platform called GO, bringing premium classes directly to consumers’ homes.

IRVINE, Calif. — As part of a major multi-brand deal, Xponential Fitness, the largest curator of boutique fitness brands in the world, opened its first studios in Saudi Arabia today. The newly opened studios represent the brands – Club Pilates, Pure Barre, CycleBar, YogaSix, and AKT – included in the Master Franchise Agreement signed last summer to bring more than 50 Xponential Fitness studios to the country over the next few years.

The initial studios are housed inside of the brand new, state-of-the-art EVOX Clubs, which have separate facilities for both men and women, in Riyadh. The EVOX Club for Women was created to serve the growing population of women seeking fitness options, following recent reforms in the country, and features studios for all five Xponential Fitness concepts. The EVOX Club for Men features the CycleBar brand.

As of August 31, 2020, Xponential Fitness has over 1600 studios across its eight brands.

Despite Pandemic, Boutique Fitness Brand Continues to Draw Entrepreneurs in Masses with Transformative Rowing-based Fitness Concept.

IRVINE, Calif. — Since 2014, Row House, the leading boutique rowing-based fitness brand, has encouraged people to “pull together.” Amidst the current pandemic and social unrest that has swept the world, that message could not be more timely and is clearly resonating with entrepreneurs as Row House, which is part of the Xponential Fitness family of brands, announced today it has surpassed 300 signed franchise agreements. With close to 75 studios already open, this new accomplishment falls in line with the brand’s overarching goal to have over 300 locations by 2022.

Recently signed agreements will bring at least one new location to cities such as Omaha, North Haledon and Denver, and three new locations to Phoenix, Jacksonville, and Los Angeles. Notably, several studios are being developed by entrepreneurs who already own franchises within the Xponential Fitness portfolio. Row House in North Haledon is being developed by an existing CycleBar owner, and the three Los Angeles locations will be opened by a Club Pilates owner.

“Community and inclusivity are cornerstones of the Row House brand, and people are craving both now more than ever, due to challenges 2020 has thrown their way,” said Ramon Castillon, President of Row House. “What was once a niche concept is becoming very mainstream, as Row House has been widely adopted by friends, family members and colleagues thanks to the inclusive nature of our programming and culture. We believe this is what is drawing so many incredible entrepreneurs to the concept and could not be more excited to help them bring our transformative workout to their communities and change lives.”

Long recognized by fitness goers as one of the most effective forms of low impact, full-body strength and cardio exercise, Row House is popularizing one of America’s oldest sports in the boutique fitness setting by putting the rower front and center for its classes, delivering unparalleled results. Row House has six class offerings – Signature, Power, Full Row, Restore, Express Signature, and Foundation – which combines rowing intervals with floor exercises to provide variety to this All-in-One workout routine. Utilizing 85 percent of the body’s muscles, rowing-based fitness maximizes calorie burn, activates the core, strengthens and lengthens the body and ultimately improves posture and mobility. Along with being low-impact, the workout is non-weight bearing, allowing people with any pre-existing injuries or weight loss goals to minimize added stress on their bodies and reduce risk of injury. Members from all fitness levels can enjoy all class types, allowing for the perfect workout to be enjoyed with friends, family or colleagues.

To continue their rapid expansion, Row House is actively seeking qualified franchise partners. Headquartered in Irvine, CA, Row House is backed by Xponential Fitness, a curator of leading boutique fitness brands. The Row House franchise opportunity offers potential franchisees the opportunity to capitalize on an emerging fitness market across all 50 states. With a total investment of $276,600$499,500. Boutique Rowing Concept Opens First Canadian Studio in Toronto This Summer

IRVINE, Calif. — Following its rapid development in the United States, Row House, a low-impact, high-energy indoor rowing concept, announced today its first international studio development in Canada. As the demand for unique, boutique fitness concepts grows in the country, the brand is well-positioned to succeed with its efficient and effective rowing workouts. The inaugural Canadian location is set to debut in Toronto, and is targeting an opening date in summer 2019.

Currently Row House has 16 locations open and 200 territories sold in the United States and is on track to have over 100 studios open by the end of 2019. The company’s extensive domestic growth and success have led Row House to seek out international markets for expansion.

“Demand for this groundbreaking concept is incredibly high right now, so in Canada, we expect to see a trajectory of growth similar to what has occurred in the United States,” said Ramon Castillon, President of Row House. “We’re confident that our neighbors to the north will fully embrace the camaraderie, inclusivity and total-body results that Row House offers.”

The Toronto studio will be owned and operated by local entrepreneurs Steven and Elena Gliosca. Steven has worked in IT for 20 years, developing startups in Eastern Canada, while Elena is the owner of a local portrait photography studio. They were immediately hooked on the Row House workout and strong sense of community after visiting one of the brand’s New York locations.

“We are excited to bring the indoor rowing revolution to Canada with our Toronto studio,” said Elena. “As our city’s busy fitness scene continues to shift toward boutique offerings, we know that the population is going to fall in love with this well-balanced, structured and efficient workout.”

Long recognized by the rowing community as one of the most effective forms of full-body exercise, Row House will provide Canadian citizens an alternative fitness regimen that focuses on the safety and longevity of their bodies. The modern studio welcomes members into an atmosphere centered on camaraderie and drive, where participants row in-sync on state-of-the-art Concept2 rowing machines. Used every day by Olympic athletes, cardiac rehab patients, individuals at home and every caliber of rower in-between, the Concept2 is the authentic choice for those looking to marry low-impact cardio and strength training into one workout.

Row House, backed by Xponential Fitness’ team with more than 25 years’ experience in fitness franchising, is actively seeking qualified and passionate franchise partners to capitalize on the emerging market success. Boutique Rowing Concept’s Popularity Skyrockets as Transformative Workout Gains Momentum Across Country

IRVINE, Calif. — Since launching its franchise opportunity just 12 short months ago, Row House, the nation’s leading boutique rowing concept, has crossed yet another milestone – the signing of its 200th franchise agreement. This accomplishment falls right in line with the brand’s overarching goal to open more than 100 studio locations each year through 2022.

The recently signed agreements will bring new locations to states such as Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Maryland, Colorado and California, where over 20 new studios are planned. Long recognized by the rowing community as one of the most effective forms of full-body exercise, Row House is shining a spotlight on an oft-neglected piece of exercise equipment and fueling the revitalization of one of America’s oldest sports.

“We have been extremely pleased with the growth of Row House in its first year, and with these recently signed deals, this unstoppable momentum will continue for the next few years,” said Ramon Castillon, President of Row House. “Row House stands out in the crowded boutique fitness space with its fresh, high-energy, low-impact workouts, and is leading the way as the number one indoor rowing experience on the market. We are excited to continue changing lives with this revolutionary fitness concept.”

Row House is a fitness community focused on providing the comradery and drive fostered by the sport of rowing. By offering a variety of classes, those of different strengths and abilities come together for a synchronized group fitness experience. In class, participants row on the same stroke, moving as a unit, but also have the ability to row at their own intensity. As rowing is one of the most effective low-impact, high-energy workouts, each stroke offers participants the opportunity to engage 85 percent of the body’s muscles with a low risk of injury – maximizing calorie burn, activating the core, strengthening and lengthening the body and ultimately improving posture.
