Leading Sign, Graphics, and Visual Communications Franchise Recognized for Its Strong Growth, Financial Stability, and Industry Experience.

CARROLLTON, Texas — FASTSIGNS International, Inc., franchisor of FASTSIGNS®, the leading sign, graphics, and visual communications franchise, announced today it has been ranked as one of the Top 100 Franchises of 2021 by Franchise Gator. Developed to assist prospective franchisees in their search for a franchise opportunity to invest in, the Top 100 Franchises ranked FASTSIGNS as #3 for its strong growth, financial stability, experience, and several other criteria.

“Being identified by Franchise Gator as one of the top franchise opportunities in the country once again is an accomplishment we are extremely proud of. This recognition is a testament to the strength of the brand, our franchisees, support team and the FASTSIGNS proven business model. Last year showed us that in turbulent times our franchisees can and will persevere to come out of the other side stronger than ever. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to celebrate the success of an unprecedented year through this esteemed ranking, and we look forward to our growth throughout 2021,” said Mark Jameson, Chief Support and Development Officer.

FASTSIGNS reported exceptional results in 2020, including the signing of over 31 franchise agreements in the U.S and Canada to develop new, co-branded, and conversion centers and the opening of more than 30 locations, including its first center in the Dominican Republic. Much of FASTSIGNS’ success in 2020 can be credited to centers being deemed essential businesses, allowing franchisees to pivot their services to focus on serving their customers.

This year, FASTSIGNS is aiming to sign at least 35 franchise agreements across the U.S. in markets such as Southern California, the Midwest, New England, and along the Northeast Corridor. FASTSIGNS is particularly focusing on its co-brand and conversion programs, which help existing business owners add a FASTSIGNS to their store or fully convert their business to a FASTSIGNS franchise. FASTSIGNS has helped countless owners of print shops, photography studios, camera stores, embroidery shops, and more, diversify their product lines and services to meet the growing demand for signs, graphics, and visual communications. Both the co-brand franchise opportunity and conversion can be started with only $15,000 down on the initial franchise fee.

FASTSIGNS is known in the industry for equipping its franchisees with tools vital to securing the ongoing success of each individual location. In addition to the brand’s online FASTSIGNS University, FASTSIGNS partners with 1HUDDLE, a workforce-training platform that converts unique training content into science-backed, quick-burst training games that are proven to accelerate workforce productivity.

FASTSIGNS also offers a special incentive for first responders, including paramedics, emergency medical technicians, police officers, sheriffs, and firefighters, which includes a 50% reduction on the franchise fee — a savings of $24,875.

FASTSIGNS is consistently ranked as a top franchise opportunity. Entrepreneur magazine recently recognized FASTSIGNS as the #1 franchise opportunity in its category on its 2021 Franchise 500 list for the fifth consecutive year and #44 overall — the only sign, graphics, and visual communications company to be recognized in the top 100. In 2020, Entrepreneur magazine named FASTSIGNS a Top Growth Franchise and one of the Top Franchises for Veterans. Additionally, Franchise Direct named FASTSIGNS one of the Top 100 Global Franchises in 2021, and last year, FASTSIGNS was ranked on Franchise Times’ annual Top 200+ list and Franchise Business Review named FASTSIGNS one of its Top Franchises for Second Careers and Top Franchises for Veterans. In 2019, the brand was named to America’s Best Franchises to Buy list by Forbes magazine. Franchise Business Review has also recognized FASTSIGNS as one of the “Best of the Best” for franchisee satisfaction for the last 10 years, as well as inclusion on its Top 50 Franchises for Women and Top Service Franchises lists in 2019. 2021-02-17T10:44:24-05:00February 17th, 2021|Tags: , , , |

Batteries Plus Signs 20 Franchise Agreements Amidst Pandemic; Looks to Add Additional 55 Agreements by Year End.

HARTLAND, Wis. — At first glance, 2020 seems like it would be a difficult year for franchise brands to concentrate on growth, however, the nation’s largest and fastest growing battery, light bulb, key fob and repair franchise showed stability in the face of uncertainty. Throughout 2020, Batteries Plus signed 20 franchise agreements which will add 30 new locations to the system’s 700+ network of specialty retail stores. In addition, the brand already inked another nine new stores in January alone, proving itself a reliable and stable business opportunity for a growing list of entrepreneurs.

The agreements represent a healthy mix of single and multi-unit growth, with four current franchisees signing on to open six additional stores and 16 new franchisees who will be opening 24 stores. The new Batteries Plus franchises are slated to open in:

  • Arizona (Phoenix and Yuma)
  • California (El Centro, Lodi and Sacramento)
  • Colorado (Colorado Springs)
  • Florida (Melbourne, Orlando and Tallahassee)
  • Idaho (Boise)
  • Maryland (Bowie)
  • Minnesota (Forest Lake)
  • New Hampshire
  • New Jersey (Haddonfield)
  • New Mexico (Carlsbad)
  • Oregon (Oregon City)
  • Tennessee (Nashville)
  • Texas (Prosper)
  • Vermont (Burlington)
  • Wisconsin (Hales Corners)

The confidence these franchisees demonstrate by investing in Batteries Plus helps showcase the brand’s strength and durability during a particularly challenging year for business owners.

“It’s no secret that last year brought a lot of challenges but along with these challenges came plenty of opportunities,” said Scott Williams, CEO of Batteries Plus. “Early last year, our stores were deemed essential businesses which allowed them to remain open and continue to meet customer needs at a time when health and safety were a top priority. The stability of our business model quickly became apparent and entrepreneurs across the country took notice.”

Current and new Batteries Plus franchise owners alike have been inspired by the brand’s performance last year and are helping to keep the momentum building in 2021. Focus for the brand has been and will remain on the ability to maintain competitive advantages in order to protect its long-term profits and market share. Batteries Plus has found a niche in its ‘plus’ services – including battery installation and key fob programming – capitalizing on both its knowledge and service offerings.

“Our investments in omni-channel technology have directly benefited our franchisees and increased our competitive advantage,” said Jon Sica, Chief Strategy Officer at Batteries Plus. “In many ways, Batteries Plus is already ahead of the game in strategies other restaurants and retailers are just implementing – this allows us to keep looking ahead to new innovations that make our franchisee’s stronger.”

To keep providing essential products and services to consumers across the country, Batteries Plus has a target of 55 signed agreements through the end of the year. The brand has identified several markets that are ripe for development, including the Southeastern and Northeastern U.S., as well as Texas – outside of the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex. Aside from highly dense markets, there are opportunities for multi-unit growth across all territories.

PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans Recognized for Impressive Franchise Growth, Continues Strategic Partnership Expansion in 2021

2021-02-16T11:06:53-05:00February 16th, 2021|Tags: , , , , |

National Coffeehouse Franchise Kicks off 2021 with Prestigious Industry Award Recognition.

NEW ORLEANS — Even amid the pandemic, PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans continues to innovate and grow. Most notably, PJ’s Coffee ranked #437 on the prestigious Entrepreneur Franchise 500 list, improving its position by 41 slots. The franchise was also ranked as a Top Franchise Opportunity by Franchise Business Review.

The aforementioned rankings are dependent on factors like franchise recruitment, unit growth, franchisee satisfaction surveys and more. Franchise Business Review rankings are based solely upon feedback from the franchise system, with PJ’s Coffee ranking 3.8 on a 5.0 scale for overall franchisee satisfaction. Franchisors are ranked on every aspect of the business – from the leadership team, core values, employee health + wellbeing, to training + support and financial opportunities – all of which were tested this last year as the franchise navigated the challenges presented by the pandemic.

The food + beverage industry at-large has largely been impacted by COVID-19, having to close indoor dining and quickly enhance digital operations to meet consumer behavior. The pivot allowed PJ’s Coffee to focus on their drive-thru operations and pilot new programs, such as the roll out of a beignet program in certain locations, all while sustaining a steady pipeline of openings for the brand throughout 2020, resulting in a total of 20 new locations and an even more impressive 45 locations projected to open in 2021.

“We’re thrilled to receive this recognition from the industry and our franchisees after a tough year, proving that selective recruitment of franchisees who are a great fit, emphasis on store level performance, and a strategic franchise expansion plan are all important pieces of the puzzle for PJ’s Coffee,” said Vice President of Franchise Development, Ryan Stansbury. “What it boils down to, though, is our brand culture. That Southern hospitality flare is part of the reason we’ve continued to attract franchise candidates, break into new markets, and open new businesses despite the current economic climate.”

Currently, PJ’s has 126 open stores throughout the continental United States, Vietnam, and Kuwait and anticipates that total to climb to more than 170 by year-end with much of its expansion taking place in the southeastern quadrant of the U.S.

“Opening a food and beverage concept during the height of COVID doesn’t come without its challenges, but I felt nothing but support and proper guidance from the corporate office to get us up and running successfully,” said Harry Dodich, who opened his PJ’s location in 2020. “Similarly, the franchisee support system is unmatched. During a time where everyone was working to understand their own statewide mandates and obstacles due to COVID-19, they too, were available to help work through onboarding and make our opening in the community as seamless as possible – showing us day in and day out that this franchise system really cares about its people.”

As a result of COVID-19, all PJ’s Coffee locations are operating in compliance with and staying up-to-date on local and state guidelines.

PJ’s Coffee serves a wide variety of iced, hot, frozen, espresso-based and nitro-infused coffees using only the top one percent of Arabica beans. Pioneered by Founder Phyllis Jordan, PJ’s famous iced coffees are brewed daily using a unique, cold-drip process that protects the flavor and strength of the high-quality beans while producing a coffee that is two thirds less acidic. The coffeehouse also serves organic tea and fresh breakfast pastries.

A prospective franchisee can expect a total investment range between $190,775$391,000 for non-traditional franchise units and $200,775$582,000 for traditional units. The operating model and menu are adaptable to any environment with different options including kiosks and free-standing locations with a drive-thru, ranging from a few hundred square feet up to 1800 square feet. PJ’s Coffee offers a proven franchise structure with strategic corporate support.

Tint World® is ranked as the #11 franchise on the Top 100 list. The ranking accompanies Franchise Gator’s Top Emerging Franchises and Fastest Growing Franchises list.

“Franchise Gator created the Top 100 list to help future franchise owners in finding an opportunity that was the right fit for them in experience, interest and financial capabilities,” said Eric Bell, general manager at Franchise Gator. “Many lists ranking the top franchise opportunities are populated by concepts that are too expensive for most budgets. We wanted to create a list that catered better to our audience, which is more representative of the common franchise seeker.”

Franchise Gator, one of the leading destinations for those seeking to invest in a franchise opportunity, reviewed hundreds of franchise disclosure documents to formulate their rankings. Growth in units, turnover and financials are just a few of the items taken into consideration. The staff also takes a look at awards, the executive team and participation in the franchise community.

“Congratulations to Tint World®,” said Bell. “We are excited to present them as a top franchise investment for 2021.”

One of America’s largest commercial cleaning franchises sees 30th Year of continued growth.

ATLANTAJan-Pro Cleaning & Disinfecting – One of the largest commercial cleaning franchise brands in the country – is continuing to provide cleaning and safety measures to help create a safe environment for tenants, employees, and customers across the United States. In 2020, JAN-PRO Cleaning & Disinfecting saw a five hundred percent increase in service requests and a record year in top line revenue as thousands of businesses across the country sought out essential cleaning services. The brand was recently awarded Entrepreneur Magazine’s #1 commercial cleaning franchise, the 13th year in a row. As the pandemic is expected to worsen over the next few months, JP Cleaning & Disinfecting small business owners are committed to providing everyone a safer community and continue to be the go-to trusted cleaning professionals.

“Employees and customers will want to know how their local businesses and leaders are keeping them safe as America continues to push through the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Gary Bauer, president of Jan-Pro Systems International. “It will also be crucial for business owners and their employees to be able to explain how they are creating a safe and clean environment as the reopening process across the country continues. We hope that they will consider utilizing our experts at JAN-PRO Cleaning & Disinfecting.”

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, businesses of all kinds have turned to Jan-Pro Cleaning & Disinfecting as the commercial cleaning experts to provide services to keep their employees, customers and tenants safe. A surge in demand throughout the pandemic has created a new need for our services and new interest from entrepreneurs looking to partner with JP Cleaning & Disinfecting. The brand is looking to expand its presence in a number of areas including: Madison, WI; Des Moines, IA; Sioux Falls, SD; Myrtle Beach, SC; Wichita, KS and many more.

“Right now there is an incredible opportunity for expansion for JAN-PRO Cleaning & Disinfecting,” said Gary Bauer, President of Jan-Pro Systems International. “With the continuing COVID-19 pandemic and the importance we have spotlighted on commercial cleaning, now is the perfect time for JAN-PRO Cleaning & Disinfecting to expand its presence.”

The targeted expansion comes at a time when JP Cleaning & Disinfecting small business owners are on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19, as well as cold and flu season. JP Cleaning & Disinfecting small business owners continue to play a crucial role in protecting employees and customers in tens of thousands of businesses across the United States, often times at a moment’s notice. In 2020, JAN-PRO Cleaning & Disinfecting expanded into new communities including Tallahassee, FL; Valdosta, GA; Dothan, AL; Knoxville TN; Mobile, AL; Salem, OR; and Dover, DE.

Commercial cleaners like Jan-Pro Cleaning & Disinfecting have the technology available to disinfect businesses and facilities of all kinds. JP Cleaning & Disinfecting’s EnviroShield® system is the same system used to disinfect hospital operating rooms. The system utilizes an electrostatic sprayer that helps the disinfectant cover more surface area on a microscopic level, and the electric charge helps bind the disinfectant to the surface. JP Cleaning & Disinfecting will then apply a surface treatment that prevents bacteria from living on the surface.

“Now more than ever before it is paramount that business owners have a cleaning and disinfecting plan in place to help keep their employees and customers safe from Covid-19, the common cold, and the flu,” stated Bauer. “A clean workplace is the right of each and every worker, and brands like JP Cleaning & Disinfecting are proud to protect businesses of all kinds with our industry leading cleaning and disinfecting services.”
