FEATURED FRANCHISE CONSULTANT: JEFF O’SHEA

After working as a real estate investor for more than a decade, buying and selling properties and brokering thousands of deals, Jeff O’Shea was ready to take the next step in his career and become an entrepreneur. Unfortunately, when he began researching franchise opportunities to find a company that matched his skill set, he didn’t have much luck.

“When you search for franchise opportunities on the internet, it’s easy to get shut down right away,” O’Shea said. “You come up with mainly big companies that require a million-dollar investment. It’s definitely not a good representation of what’s out there.”

Thankfully, O’Shea’s search caught the attention of a FranServe franchise consultant who reached out to offer some help, and he was blown away by the consultant’s guidance.

“I didn’t come from an entrepreneurial background. My mom was a stay-at-home mom, and my dad worked the same job for 50 years,” said O’Shea. “Like the other 99% of the population, I had no idea about the franchising opportunities that are out there and that most of it is available at a very reasonable cost.”

With the consultant’s guidance, O’Shea became a franchisee with Property Management Inc., a rapidly growing franchise with over 300 locations that helps franchisees maximize their profitability across four real estate factions: residential, commercial, association and short-term rental. According to O’Shea, it was a natural fit and a smart business move for someone with his real estate background.

Because he was so impressed with the help offered by his franchise consultant, O’Shea opted to join that branch of business too.

“I wanted to help other people,” he said. “I wanted to be the guy who could tell others how to chase their dream of financial freedom. How to spend more time with the family, earn a living but still be there at four o’clock to coach your kids’ games.”

For the past five years, O’Shea has been a FranServe franchise consultant, operating under the umbrella of Capital Franchise Consultants.

On its website, the company states, “We represent more than 550 of today’s leading franchise opportunities and are well known in the industry for our professional approach by our franchise partners. Our primary goal is to help you navigate through the entire process and build a business for you and your family.”

O’Shea, who continues to manage his other businesses, appreciates the support and camaraderie he receives from being a part of the FranServe team, defining his franchise consultant role as “extremely fulfilling.”

“I love building relationships with different people from across the country,” he said. “The great thing about this role is that you can do as much or as little as you want.”

Because there are no boundaries, meaning franchise consultancy can be done from any home office, O’Shea says you can do this from any location at any time.

“I hope to continue on this path because it is very successful, and I really enjoy it,” O’Shea concluded. “I think franchise consultancy will always be part of my life in some capacity.”
