As people get older, everyday tasks like cleaning, grocery shopping and preparing meals become increasingly difficult. By Shelby Green

As people get older, everyday tasks like cleaning, grocery shopping and preparing meals become increasingly difficult. According to the 2020 U.S. Census, the over-65 population increased by 15.5 million, marking the largest ever 10-year gain.

With the senior population in the U.S. increasing, it’s important that they have access to quality care services that can help them maintain their independence, and that’s exactly what Caring Senior Service strives to do each day.

“We have over 100 years of combined experience in home care, with our top leadership still actively owning and operating locations today,” said Director of Franchise Development Del Salinas. “Our mission is to create independence. We believe every senior should be able to remain healthy, happy and at home. We value people and create a family culture. We currently have 57 franchise markets in 17 states, with over 500 new territory opportunities to grow.”

Since 1991, Caring Senior Service has been delivering a wide range of services, including personal care, companionship and housekeeping. The company also offers a variety of specialty programs for seniors with specific health issues or chronic conditions. No matter which program is chosen, clients will benefit from the company’s GreatCare® method which focuses on quality caregivers, active involvement and care solutions.

“We understand people make the difference. Our owners are trained and receive support to source and retain the best caregivers,” shared Salinas. “Our offices provide care consultations and assessments for our clients to create plans of care that are best, as well as using these care solutions to match the perfect caregiver for our clients.”

Caring Senior Service expects each owner to follow the GreatCare method, from the initial conversations with their clients. This method is at the center of all training initiatives to ensure all franchisees can meet the standard of care for every client. Franchisees are also in constant contact with the corporate team and have opportunities to learn through regular in-person and virtual events.

Despite many adults needing home care, it’s not a widely known service. Many of the company’s franchisees are active in changing that notion by staying active in their local communities. They visit local groups and facilities and attend local events to educate the public on home care. They work hard to ensure seniors and their loved ones are aware of all of the options they have. Many franchisees also support other local groups and organizations, such as the Close the Gap in Senior Care nonprofit, to provide additional assistance to seniors.

“The best part of working in senior care is the people we interact with,” said Salinas. “Being a part of their lives and helping older adults and people with disabilities remain independent is extremely rewarding.”

As more people become seniors, Caring Senior Service is ready to help those in need of its services. It’s eager to grow so that elderly individuals and their families can receive the support they need to live a healthy, happy and fulfilling life in the comfort of their own home.

“We are excited to continue sharing our GreatCare model with people who are passionate about providing care to the growing senior population, as we continue to lead the way in home care,” said Salinas.
