I recently helped an 18-year-old begin his new franchise journey. He began at age 15 as the owner of a pressure-washing business and now after only a few short months in business, he’s off to a great start in the wonderful world of franchising!
Josh Cohen the founder and CEO of a popular junk-removal franchise, The Junkluggers recently shared a poll on LinkedIn with the following quote attached: “I used to hate being in school. It wasn’t the best way for me to learn. I prefer real-life experiences. Looking back on college, and the costs then versus today, I really question if it’s worth it. What if kids were given funding to start a business instead of college?” The poll came back with a resounding 75% voting to start a business.
Certified Franchise Consultants (CFC) are trained to give parents and their kids alternatives to college. Invest in the tenure of a professor or invest in the future of your kid? CFC’s are certified in teaching and coaching parents and kids alike on all the benefits of franchising and following a system. One thing I can tell you, the degree I have on my wall from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is not worth one red cent beyond the doors of my office; however, a business can turn multiple profits for its owners. A degree is a piece of paper. A franchise makes a difference in the community and builds equity.
Franchise consulting is a flexible, work-from-home business that can be very lucrative. For many, it is the perfect choice for them and they love that they can work from anywhere in the world, and all without the restrictions of a territory! Perhaps franchise consulting is for you.
