Sequel Brands saw an opportunity to apply its expertise in the fitness and wellness industries to create an iteration of iFlex Stretch Studios as a premier, modern, technology-driven stretch studio.
CEO Verdine Baker and Senior Vice President of Operations Austin Martinez joined iFlex Stretch Studios in early 2025 with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the stretching industry, having each worked eight years with StretchLab.
“We came over to iFlex really seeing an opportunity to create the next iteration of what stretch should look like: a more technology-driven model, a model that has a new, fresher look and feel and a model that has a smaller storefront and a cheaper build-out that makes for great unit economics for franchisees,” said Martinez. “When we look at iFlex of the future, we see a brand that has an opportunity to scale.”
iFlex Stretch Studios’ method is unique because of its innovative client assessment procedure. The program is built around the iFlex intelligence system, which uses a comprehensive head-to-toe assessment consisting of 23 individualized evaluations conducted by trained stretch therapists.
The brand recently refreshed its look, introducing a sleek, modern design across its storefronts. It also has integrated technological enhancements, including AI communication, and is developing an AI movement assessment tool to help create personalized treatment programs for customers.
This year, iFlex Stretch Studios is focusing on growth and its new franchise development model, offering people the chance to build their own business while helping others in their community.
“Working with people and helping them get back to normal, or helping them be the best version of themselves, has always been really gratifying for me,” said Martinez.
