FEATURED FRANCHISE CONSULTANT

Greg Macchia joined FranServe, Inc. in June 2019, just days before the company’s convention in Denver. Recognizing it as a prime opportunity to connect with the FranServe community, he jumped right in, attending his first consultant convention and immersing himself in the world of franchising.

Macchia was no stranger to franchising. He previously had run a residential cleaning business that expanded to multiple locations, leading him to explore franchising as a growth model. This exploration gave him a solid understanding of the franchising world and its benefits.

“At the time, I didn’t know much about franchise consulting,” Macchia recalled. “But my good friend, Mike Grecky, who had recently become a FranServe consultant, encouraged me to give it a shot. He was thriving in the role and thought it would be a great fit for me too.”

Initially, Macchia balanced franchise consulting part time while managing his cleaning business. Despite the limited time he could devote, he found success and saw strong potential for financial growth. In July 2022, after selling his cleaning business, Macchia fully transitioned to franchise consulting. “FranServe’s resources and support have been invaluable,” he said. “I’m especially grateful for my Power Team, led by Jerry Rieder, and the annual convention is now a can’t-miss event for me.”

Macchia highlights the flexibility and unlimited earning potential as the biggest perks of working with FranServe. “The flexibility allows me to be there for my kids – whether it’s driving them to school or attending their activities – something that’s incredibly important to me,” he added.

Looking back, Macchia considers his decision to focus on franchise consulting full time as one of the most rewarding choices he’s made. The last two years have transformed his life, both professionally and personally. “Franchising gives me control, freedom and the work-life balance I’ve always wanted,” he said, “and it’s a far better fit than any fixed-salary job.”
