Whether someone is 2½ or 92 years old, Flour Power Cooking Studios has a variety of culinary experiences to make their mouths water. Since 2008, the company has been stirring up fun in the kitchen and helping people foster a lifelong love for cooking through classes, camps, and other exciting offerings for participants of all ages.
The aim of Flour Power is to make everyone feel at home in its fun, signature dual-kitchen studio design that comes with a casual vibe. Under the guidance of trained instructors, customers will build culinary confidence and learn to enjoy the sacred art of cooking. The company also has two adorable mascots, Roux the Raccoon and Allie the Apron, who embody the brand’s mission and core values.
Flour Power began franchising in 2016 and has since expanded to over 15 locations. No culinary experience is required to open an independently owned studio, but all franchisees must possess a love for their community, a passion for serving others and an entrepreneurial spirit. They should enjoy working in a fun, high-energy environment with people of all ages.
The corporate team is in frequent contact with all studio owners to provide support, share current best practices and improve shared resources. Franchisees also receive support for marketing, finance and human resources.
“Studio owners bring valuable insights and diverse perspectives to our company,” said President Sarah Moritz. “The best ideas always come from them, not from corporate. They know firsthand what our participants want and expect from our brand, and it’s a joy to collaborate with them. They are the heartbeat of the company!”
Flour Power Cooking Studios recently welcomed two new studio owners, and Moritz hopes to continue to expand and elevate the benefits of the company’s culinary experiences.
“Our working vision is to be the largest cooking studio franchise,” explained Moritz. “It’s not just about the food we create. It’s about the connections we build, the skills we impart and the confidence we instill to help someone realize they are the most important ingredient for living their best life.”
