As his name suggests, almost everything Leo Goldberger touches turns to, you guessed it, gold.

Goldberger’s first foray into franchising began with The Patch Boys, a drywall patching service that he grew to 100-plus locations in under five years and sold to the BELFOR Franchising Group in 2020. Not surprisingly, Goldberger fell in love with franchising.

Now, he’s extending his magic into the closet space with Clozetivity, offering custom-designed closets at affordable prices. Clozetivity falls under Goldberger’s Home Based Franchise Group, which includes multiple home service brands.

“We’re a little over a year old and have 50-plus locations running. Everybody’s making money. For me, you can’t have a better business where you have people make money, and everybody’s happy. It’s just an amazing business,” Goldberger, co-founder and CEO, said.

Goldberger credits his knack for uncovering niche business opportunities as part of his success. “Everything I do, I look for a niche. I looked into the closet business and saw a lot of issues,” he explained. Those issues ranged from building delays to excessive pricing. After some investigating, informed by over 25 years of construction experience, Goldberger launched Clozetivity.

Boasting exclusive technology and an exclusive mill partnership, Clozetivity raises the bar on design and installation for consumers. “We deliver closets in four weeks, and our prices are better than anyone else’s,” Goldberger noted.

And for entrepreneurs, Clozetivity delivers multiple positives.

“It’s a low overhead business, it’s a really high profit-margin business, it’s a business that’s needed, it’s a professional business,” Goldberger said.

Plus, with Clozetivity, you have a nine-to-five job but work for yourself.

“They say either you work nine-to-five for someone else, or you work 24/7. Not us. Nobody calls you at four in the morning and says, ‘Hey, I need closets!’ They might dream of it, but they wait until 9 a.m. So it has all these good features that I love,” Goldberger said.

Still, the biggest positive for a budding franchisee is having Goldberger in your corner. “We have a really great team, and we are very family-oriented. I really want these people to succeed. I get excited when someone is successful,” he shared.
