Fibrenew Growth Surges Through Q2 as Recession-Proof Business Model Continues to Attract Investors

Mobile Leather, Plastic, Vinyl, Fabric and Upholstery Repair Franchise Adds 13 New Franchisees in Second Quarter

BLACK DIAMOND, AB — After a milestone start to the year, Fibrenew, the leading mobile service franchise specializing in the repair, restoration, and renewal of leather, plastic, vinyl, fabric, and upholstery, continues to surge in growth despite fears of a looming recession. At the end of the second quarter, Fibrenew has added a total of 13 franchises to its system across 9 states and 2 Canadian provinces, inching the brand closer to the exciting milestone of 300 open and operating locations worldwide. The brand was also named among the list of “Top 100 Recession-Proof Businesses” by Franchise Business Review thanks to its exceptional satisfaction of training and support, products and services, and overall enjoyment of its franchisees.

Fibrenew’s supportive culture among franchisees features high levels of trust, respect and honesty. The relationship between the franchisor and franchisees is the driving point behind a surge in new franchisees during Q2. With its 296 locations worldwide and nearly 40-year history, Fibrenew is well-equipped to succeed through the rise and fall in the world economy, with the ability to outperform their competitors in the years to come.

“In these times of great uncertainty, business investors have the threat of a recession on their minds,” said Fibrenew’s President, Jesse Johnstone. “Fibrenew has weathered every high and low over the past 35+ years and we have never stopped growing. There is always a need for our services and that’s a big part of what makes our opportunity a sound choice for those seeking to start a new business.”

At a time when inflation is skyrocketing, many homeowners are looking for ways to extend the life of their furniture. Extensive hands-on training equips Fibrenew technicians with the skills to repair any blemishes and tears in leather and light upholstery pieces, making furniture feel “like new” rather than spending money on expensive new furnishings. Not only are these repairs cost-effective, but it saves landfills from becoming overcrowded with furniture that otherwise could have been saved, earning Fibrenew the title of Top 5 Green Franchises from Entrepreneur Magazine.

Looking ahead to the second half of the year, Fibrenew anticipates surpassing 300 international locations by the end of Q3 with 9 deals already confirmed for the quarter, and more to come. Fibrenew will host its international convention to celebrate growth and recognize stellar franchisee performance in Nashville in September 2022.

Significant Colorado Expansion Propels Unity Rd. Into Next Phase of Statewide Growth

2022-07-12T09:17:10-04:00July 12th, 2022|Tags: , , , , , , |

– Cannabis Dispensary Franchise Secures Dispensary License for New Shop Near Cherry Creek Neighborhood of Denver.

– Unity Rd. Brand Hits Momentous Stride With M&A Activity Ramping Up in Colorado Market.

DENVERUnity Rd., the first true national cannabis dispensary franchise in the U.S. from Item 9 Labs Corp. (OTCQX: INLB), is experiencing rapid growth across Colorado with four shops now open or in various stages of development.

The Unity Rd. brand first entered the Colorado market in June 2021 with Unity Rd.’s first franchise partners, Nate and Bruce Wetzel. Next up for the fast-growing cannabis franchise is a corporate shop located at 6101 N. Washington St. in Denver. The North Denver Unity Rd. will be opening this week with a grand opening slated for later this Summer.

“Our goal in Colorado and the greater Denver area is to make Unity Rd. the market’s go-to local neighborhood cannabis shop,” said Andrew Bowden, chief executive officer of Item 9 Labs Corp.

The cannabis dispensary franchise recently helped its local partner secure license approval for a dispensary near the Cherry Creek neighborhood of Denver. The future Unity Rd. shop is in an influential commercial and residential district that famously was one of the greatest landmarks for entertainment and nightlife, surrounded by shopping centers, historic beauty such as Four Mile Historic Park and Denver’s greenery all around. Unity Rd. is currently awaiting local approval on the license and has build-out plans in place for the retail storefront. It anticipates the location to be fully operational by the end of 2022.

Additionally, Unity Rd.’s parent company signed an Asset Purchase Agreement (the “APA”) in March 2022 to acquire The Herbal Cure, a medicinal and recreational dispensary and cultivator operating in Washington Park. The shop will be rebranded to Unity Rd. within six months of closing the acquisition and eventually become the brand’s flagship location.

As one of the most mature cannabis markets in the U.S., Colorado has been setting records in sales year-over-year since the launch of its adult-use program in January 2014. Since then, Colorado’s adult-use cannabis market has generated $12.2 billion in sales, according to the state’s Department of Revenue. In 2021, Colorado saw one of its highest annual revenue numbers with $2.2 billion generated across both the medical and adult-use markets. It is a prime example of the cannabis industry’s future potential.

“Our goal is to keep dispensary ownership in the hands of local entrepreneurs,” said Unity Rd.’s Chief Franchise Officer Mike Weinberger. “In saturated markets, like Denver, where multi-state operators are beginning to dominate the space, the Unity Rd. franchise opportunity offers existing and prospective cannabis entrepreneurs a viable route to compete. With our proven guidebook, ongoing support and the benefits that come from being part of a larger franchise network, local dispensary entrepreneurs can thrive.”

Unity Rd.’s explosive growth in Colorado further solidifies its position as an industry leader focused on independent entrepreneurs. In the Centennial state, the brand is focusing its expansion efforts on acquisition opportunities for Unity Rd. franchise partners in Denver as well front range and compelling mountain towns.

Industry newcomers have deemed Unity Rd. the go-to franchise opportunity for entering and navigating the complex $25 billion cannabis industry. The marijuana dispensary franchise is actively seeking qualified partners across the U.S. who would benefit from the systems, processes, and ongoing support the franchise offers.

PJ’s Coffee Announces Sixth Annual Veteran Franchise License Giveaway

New Orleans-Based Coffeehouse Chain Awards Franchise License to Deserving Veteran Family.

NEW ORLEANS — PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans, the coffeehouse known for its “southern hospitality” experience, the freshest products, and better beans with superior roasting technique, has announced its annual Veteran Franchise License Giveaway, which was most recently awarded to a husband and wife team, Kyle and Jen McElhaney.

The franchise believes in brewing up small business opportunities for military veterans, who are looking to join the ever-growing $100 billion a year global coffee industry. PJ’s Coffee seeks hardworking, passionate applicants who align with its core values of delivering best-in-class coffee with the highest regards to service and hospitality.

“With many of our previous veteran franchisees, we’ve seen a seamless transition from military life to entrepreneurship, so we started this initiative to attract like-minded individuals to our concept, and as a way of saying ‘thank you for your service,'” said Ryan Stansbury, PJ’s Coffee Vice President of Franchise Development. “We’ve found that our veteran franchisees have an extra attention to detail and level of care when it comes to how they present themselves and our brand.”

In April 2022, Kyle and Jennifer executed a multi-unit option agreement to own and operate two PJ’s Coffee locations within the Memphis area, with the first unit scheduled to open by the end of 2022. After that, the pair would like to introduce about a dozen locations to the tri-state area. Kyle attended the University of Mississippi ROTC and then served as an Army Officer and helicopter pilot for 8 and a half years. He piloted an AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter, and was deployed to Jalalabad, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2010-2011. He then spent two years in the Mississippi National Guard where he left service at the rank of Major. Kyle then became a military recruiter for Northern Kansas before going to work for ADP, and eventually opening his own businesses.

“I am incredibly fortunate to have been awarded this opportunity,” said Kyle. “As coffee consumers in the community, once we tried the product, we knew there was a need for this. We’re thrilled to be the ones to debut PJ’s menu offerings and family-like atmosphere in Memphis.”

The couple are heavily involved within their community and have owned and operated several businesses. Together, they have invested in high demand concepts throughout Memphis, including a logistics company, a full-service interior design support business and a fleet cleaning business.

The PJ’s Coffee brand is passionate about giving back to the veteran community in any way it can. The company is a five-star VetFran member, proudly offering qualified veterans a 20 percent discount on the initial franchise fee.

The company also ranked No. 48 within the 2022 Fast Casual Top 100 Movers & Shakers list of innovative restaurant brands and executives shaping the fast casual segment. The judges look at profitability, growth, innovation, nimbleness and creativity.
