Since opening in 2004, Transblue, a leading general contracting franchise, has continued to expand its business, with a focus on simplifying and improving processes for its owners. The brand, which specializes in managing outdoor construction, remodeling, and ongoing maintenance for residential, commercial and government clients, launched a franchisee advisory council in June and recently expanded its professional media team to promote brand growth specific to franchisees’ needs.

“The council is made up of three current franchise owners, and we will approach that every year with the opportunity for involvement from different owners. They will represent owners from the whole franchise system, work with us to discuss new rollouts and give input on any issues or developments. For example, they are giving their input on our new Transblue Connect system, a custom in-house-built software system that helps with our estimates,” explained Vince Ortiz, director of franchise development.

The Transblue Connect software, which launched on July 1, will be rolled out in stages over the course of 2022 and will include project estimation, customer-relationship management technology, client communication, bookkeeping integration and many other time-saving features. “We are very focused on adding processes and technology to help our owners and our business,” said Ortiz. “From early on, we wanted to simplify the systems that help the business, and we are very excited to be able to do that. In terms of KPIs for the business, like gross profit margin, we were able to tailor the software to work specifically for the financial numbers we are focused on.”

Although the brand only started franchising three years ago, it has already seen scalability potential for franchisees. “We were an emerging brand in 2019, but our owners have quickly noticed the quick scalability of our system. We focus on having a lower volume of transactions but with higher revenue projects,” Ortiz explained.

With the recent development of its media projects, Transblue also helps franchisees with various marketing endeavors. If a worksite meets certain criteria, it is eligible for photos and videos shot by a professional team throughout the project’s completion. These assets can then be uploaded to the franchisee’s website or posted to social media.
