After starting a bookkeeping firm from her Nevada home in 2001, Dida Clifton soon realized her clients needed much more than bookkeeping support, and TheOfficeSquad was born. Clifton, CEO and founder of the B2B business, describes it as something of “a virtual office on steroids.”

She began adding other services that business owners need to be successful, including virtual administrative support, phone reception, appointment setting and scheduling, the use of a professional address, mail forwarding, executive suites and a coworking space – all in one location. “It’s literally everything you need to run a business without having to hire and manage all of the different people; we do that for our customer,” she said.

When developing her business, Clifton pulled from her six years of experience in the U.S. Air Force, where she worked with F-15 fighter pilots. She was responsible for administrative and operational tasks required to accomplish their missions. Now, in her own business, she said, “We do everything that’s needed on the back side, so that the owner can go out, grow their business and accomplish their mission, like a fighter pilot.”

TheOfficeSquad supports various-sized businesses and loves startups. The goal is that customers will start with one or two services, usually phone answering and the use of a professional address. As their business grows, they may decide they want additional help. “It’s one place to grow the business from the ground up,” she said.

The one-stop shop not only offers full back-office support but also co-working space to work from a laptop, conference rooms for meetings and full executive suites. With so many business owners working from home now, in addition to its services, the space that TheOfficeSquad offers is a plus for home-based businesses needing a professional work environment and support.

After running her successful company for two decades, Clifton opened franchise opportunities in 2021. “The goal is for TheOfficeSquad to be in every neighborhood – to offer a place where every business can go for full back-office support,” she said.
