The Glass Guru franchise recently welcomed its newest franchise owners into its network of 75-plus franchise locations in North America. The Glass Guru of Tyler, Texas, also marks the organization’s 11th location in that state.

Franchise owners Gary and LeeAnn Kirkindoll completed The Glass Guru’s new-owner training on May 15, 2020, at the company’s headquarters in Roseville, California. This training culminated the comprehensive location-opening checklist that the two had been navigating for weeks prior to coming out for training. The Kirkindolls worked closely with the company’s dedicated franchise team during the onboarding process, following The Glass Guru’s proven model for franchise startups.

As an interesting sidebar, Gary’s brother Mike Kirkindoll also joined the couple in Roseville for the initial franchise training. Mike recently purchased the neighboring Glass Guru franchise in Longview, Texas. Mike affected the transfer at the same time Gary and LeeAnn purchased their franchise territory, so they will all have the benefit of coming up in the business together.

Gary holds a BBA in Business Management from the University of North Texas. He comes to The Glass Guru with a diverse professional background, including VP of CUNA Mutual Group, and most recently as the president of Texas Financial. LeeAnn holds a BS in Family and Consumer Sciences and a BS in Elementary Education. LeeAnn has spent time as a children’s muralist, as a director of women’s ministry, and also is an experienced speaker and author.

The pair had spent a considerable amount of time looking at business opportunities. Gary had a significant desire to start their own company as he transitioned out of the corporate world.

“Following my career in the corporate world, I was looking to start my own business. After looking at several independent and franchise opportunities, I chose The Glass Guru because I was really impressed with their business model and franchisee support.

The thing that excited me the most about opening a franchise with The Glass Guru was the opportunity to build a great business and a great team that’s dedicated to service the community.”

“I see my role in the business being focused on marketing and winning clients in our business community and in the surrounding areas. Motivational training too is my strong side… so I hope to develop opportunities to help our employees outshine the rest in the industry and help them perform at their highest levels.
I truly believe that when people feel valued and can appreciate the personal gifts that make them an intricate part of the team, they will find more joy in what they do.”

As the couple put the finishing touches on their location for the big push of opening, they already have ideas of where they see themselves and the business going in the coming years. They are clear on where the business will be, and their respective roles inside the operation. “I see us well on our way to maximizing our opportunity in the Tyler market and looking to expand the business to other territories in East Texas,” says Gary.

The Kirkindolls have worked diligently to get to this point. They are both very excited about their roles as franchise owners with The Glass Guru. Their passion for service and building teams will surely be of great benefit as they serve the community of Tyler and the surrounding areas with all of their window, door, and residential glass-related needs.
