The Designery Williston Park owner Win Chen is an architect with more than 20 years’ experience in the construction management industry. He said he wants to educate and guide Williston Park homeowners through the kitchen, bath and closet design process.

He received his bachelor’s degree in architecture from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and his master’s degree in construction management from New York University.

He is also passionate about supporting his community by hiring local talent and partnering with area schools and nonprofit organizations on meaningful projects. When he’s not working, Maximos enjoys life in Tallahassee with his wife, Christine, and their two daughters, Rita and Grace.

Owner Amanda Burr wants to make every home renovation enjoyable and seamless while giving back to her hometown

He spent the last 20 years as an organization change leader in major companies like Cisco Systems and The Clorox Company. Geri Walton worked as a supervisor in the corporate publishing world. She is a freelance writer with four books and a blog with more than 1,000 articles under her belt.

The couple have been married for 28 years and have two grown children, Cori and Chase.

Owners Chris and Summer Doney say they want to empower and educate their clientele by offering free design workshops

The Designery Lake Mary owners Chris and Summer Doney say they want their new location to create job opportunities for skilled workers while supporting local contractors, fostering economic growth and helping clients get the most from their home renovation projects.

“We want to empower and educate residents by helping them improve their homes,” Chris Doney said. “The kitchen is the central location in most homes and should be a place where people can gather. Doney has nearly 15 years of experience working in the home improvement industry. He served as an accountant and the managing director of information security for Menards, a line of home improvement stores located throughout the Midwest.

“As a member of the Menards management team, I have collaborated with Menards Kitchen Manufacturing on several projects and have worked directly with their kitchen design team,” he said. “This should help me tremendously as I advise clients on their kitchen renovations.”

Doney is originally from Syria but moved to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, 16 years ago after receiving a bachelor’s degree in business and managerial economics from MOST University Egypt in Cairo, Egypt, and a master’s degree in business from Aleppo University in Aleppo, Syria. He received additional marketing and e-commerce training from Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire.

The Doneys moved to the Orlando area from Wisconsin more than a year ago, and Summer Doney is a principal software engineer at The Walt Disney Company.

Owners Joel and Amy Senger’s experiences in homebuilding and real estate provide them with the perfect background to market the home renovation franchise

The Designery Metro Cincinnati owners Joel and Amy Senger say they want to bring customized design and renovation services to the southern Ohio and northern Kentucky region. The couple moved to the Cincinnati area from the Dallas-Fort Worth area in April 2023.

“We owned and operated Senger Custom Homes in Texas where we specialized in customized new home builds and high-end renovations and remodels,” Joel Senger said. “After moving to the Cincinnati area last year, we begin remodeling the home that we purchased. When we had trouble finding one place that offered everything we needed for our remodeling project, we decided to draw upon our experience and bring a Designery location to this area.”

Senger, a Montana native, worked as a homebuilder and superintendent for DR Horton and Antares Homes in Texas for almost 10 years. He also has experience in building custom cabinetry and won Fort Worth Magazine’s Best Remodeling Contractor award in 2019. The couple also owned a pool construction business in Texas, and Senger won an award for best outdoor environment in 2021.

Senger’s wife, Amy, worked in real estate finance and in the mortgage industry for nearly 20 years, and says she’s looking forward to helping clients in the Cincinnati area with their renovation needs.

“We believe the skills we’ve gained over the past several years in the construction and real estate financing industries will give us a competitive edge,” she said. “We also love it here. The people are so incredibly friendly here. The pace is much slower than the larger urban area we came from but is still large enough to find something fun to do.”

The couple have been married for more than 13 years, and have two children, Marley, 15, and Andie, 10. Amy Senger is also a certified Biblical counselor and volunteers a few hours a week for a ministry that offers free Biblical counseling.
