Hammer & Nails is Looking to Develop Locations in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, and Washington, DC.

HARTFORD, Conn. and RESTON, Va. — Hammer & Nails Grooming Shop for Guys, a men’s grooming shop that provides haircuts, shaves, and hand & foot care in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, is pleased to announce it has signed two new Area Developer franchise agreements in the Northeast. Donald Yurick, a new Area Developer for the brand, has purchased Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York. Ilona Kirzhner, a franchisee for Hammer & Nails, also purchased Area Developer rights to Washington, DC, and Maryland.

Yurick has over 18 years of sales and marketing experience working in several industries; pharmaceuticals, insurance, and technology. After a recent move to Connecticut, Yurick felt ready to take the next step in his career and become an entrepreneur. He came across Hammer & Nails and instantly saw the opportunity with this brand and industry.

“Throughout my career, I have honed in the ability to help businesses increase sales, drive growth and grab significant market share. This experience has prepared me for this new role,” said Yurick. “When I decided to start looking for entrepreneurial opportunities, I saw so much value in Hammer & Nails. They are creating an experience for men that no other business is, and I liked that as a franchisee and an Area Developer, I could open my location and also help other entrepreneurs open their own Hammer & Nails.”

Yurick plans to open his first Hammer & Nails location in Connecticut by Q2 2022 and has more to follow. As an Area Developer for Hammer & Nails, Yurick will grow the brand in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York. He will be recruiting and educating interested entrepreneurs about the process of opening their shops, as well as, assisting Hammer & Nails in selling the 80+ franchise licenses that are currently available in the Northeast. Yurick is not the only new Area Developer for Hammer & Nails in the Northeast. They have also recently announced Kirzhner will become an Area Developer.

Kirzhner is a current Hammer & Nails franchisee that signed a historic 12-unit franchise deal in 2020. She currently has one shop open in Northern Virginia (NOVA) and plans to open the remaining 11 within the next five years in Washington, DC, NOVA, and Maryland. Kirzhner has decided to expand her partnership with Hammer & Nails and become an Area Developer for Washington, DC, and Maryland. Kirzhner’s engineering degree and experience running a very successful store in Leesburg, Virginia, has made her a tremendous asset to Hammer & Nails. As an Area Developer, she will transfer those skills over to help other franchisees succeed to continue to build the brand in the Northeast.

“I am very excited about this new opportunity with Hammer & Nails,” said Kirzhner. “As a franchisee myself, I know how important it is to have a strong support system around you when running a business. Aaron and his team have been great resources. I am looking forward to teaming with corporate and other ADs to help grow the brand locally in the DC metro area, regionally in the Northeast, and nationally across the US.”

The Hammer & Nails experience coming to the Northeast is unlike any other. The atmosphere is low-lit, with soft ambient lighting throughout the shop. Exterior windows are tinted for privacy, and the interior is furnished with dark wood, leather, and steel, creating a relaxing vibe. Members are greeted by name, escorted to a luxurious oversized Bison leather chair, and handed a menu with complimentary beverages ranging from ice-cold water to McAllen’s whiskey, and all included in the cost of the service. Shops have Direct TV, and every guest has a dedicated personal oversized device, remote and noise-canceling BOSE headphones for entertainment during the visit.

“We are thrilled to welcome Don to our team as a franchisee and Area Developer. His experience and expertise make him a huge asset to our team as we continue to expand across the country,” said Aaron Meyers, CEO, Hammer & Nails. “With the addition of Don and Ilona as Area Developer, there is so much room for growth in the Northeast for Hammer & Nails, and we are excited for them to spearhead that effort.”

Hammer & Nails has a first-to-market advantage in the ever-growing $21B male grooming industry as the only niche male grooming franchise available. For more information about the Hammer & Nails franchise opportunity, visit https://hammerandnailsfranchise.com/.

New Franchisees Set to Open Locations in the Cleveland and Cincinnati Areas.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Hammer & Nails Grooming Shop for Guys, a men’s grooming shop that provides haircuts, shaves, and hand & foot care in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, is pleased to announce it has signed four new franchise agreements to expand the brand’s presence in the Buckeye State. The first shop in Ohio sold out memberships in record time due to the overwhelming demand for men’s grooming services. Franchisee Chris Guglielmi will open two new locations in Cleveland, and an additional investment group will also open two shops in Cincinnati.

Guglielmi plans to bring a Hammer & Nails location to the West side of Cleveland within the next five to six months with an additional location on the East side of town by Q2 2022. The investment group will start by bringing a Hammer & Nails location to the Indian Hills/Hyde Park area of Cincinnati by Q4 of 2021.

A jack of all entrepreneurial trades, Guglielmi has had a dream of being his own boss and running his own businesses since he was in high school. Creating jobs and opportunities for others to grow, learn and excel has always a driving force in Guglielmi’s success. Stumbling across Hammer & Nails while at brunch in Cleveland, Guglielmi knew the company was on to something and instantly knew he had to bring more locations of the men’s grooming salon to the area.

“The men’s grooming concept is such an underserved niche market all across the country,” said Guglielmi. “There’s so much opportunity with Hammer & Nails and I am so excited to help spread awareness of the brand with my two locations in the Cleveland area. On a regular basis, a large amount of the men in Cleveland get a haircut every month and I’m looking forward to showing local men how a regular haircut experience can also be a relaxing, pampering one.”

The Hammer & Nails experience coming to Cleveland and Cincinnati is unlike any other. The atmosphere is low-lit, with soft ambient lighting throughout the shop. Exterior windows are tinted for privacy and the interior is furnished with dark wood and steel, creating a relaxing vibe. Members are greeted by name, escorted to a luxurious oversized Bison leather chair, and handed a menu with complimentary beverages ranging from an ice-cold water to McAllen’s whiskey, all included in the cost of the service. Shops have Direct TV, and every guest has a dedicated personal oversized device, remote and noise-cancelling BOSE headphones for entertainment during the visit.

“We couldn’t be happier to have Chris and the new investment Group as Hammer & Nails franchise partners in Ohio,” said, Aaron Meyers, CEO, Hammer & Nails. “Our presence in the state is growing larger by the day and we’re looking forward to see the successes that these additional three locations will bring. We know with the brand’s trend-setting atmosphere and unique service offerings, that these new shops are destined to become a staple in the Cleveland and Cincinnati communities.”

With four new shops in the next two years, Hammer & Nails is that much closer to selling out franchise opportunities in the state of Ohio. Current markets still available for franchise opportunities include, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland. Hammer & Nails Signs 19-Unit Franchise Deal to Bring Men’s Grooming Shops to Florida

Area Developer to Open Two Naples Locations, Develop 17 Locations Along Florida’s West Coast.

NAPLES, Fla.Hammer & Nails Grooming Shop for Guys, a men’s grooming shop that provides haircuts, shaves and hand & foot care, in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, is pleased to announce it has signed a record area developer agreement with finance and operations executive Rick Sander. Sander will open two grooming shops of his own in the Naples community, and is charged with developing 17 additional locations along Florida’s Gulf Coast.

As an executive working up and down the East Coast, Sander decided it was time to become a permanent “snow bird” and move down south. While most people move to warmer climates to retire and soak in the sun, Sander made this move his next business venture. Though Naples has been Sander’s second home for several years, he is excited to be a full-time Floridian and immerse himself in the community year-round. Starting with bringing a new business to the area.

The timing to make the move felt right, as Sander left his previous position as chief financial officer to pursue his next opportunity. During this hunt, he searched many business alternatives, which is when he stumbled into franchising and discovered Hammer & Nails. Sander was immediately intrigued by the concept and quickly eliminated other opportunities to pursue the men’s grooming shop further. Not only was Sander impressed by the uniqueness of the business model – a membership experience where men could be completely comfortable enjoying a hand or foot service while getting their beard groomed – it was an opportunity to bring something new and exciting to the Naples community.

Sander refers to himself as a “numbers guy,” due to his extensive experience in the finance world, which ultimately sold him on the brand as it offers the opportunity for recurring revenue through its monthly membership model. Hammer & Nails goes the extra mile for its members to make the experience both personal and unique – and that’s exactly what the Naples community is all about.

Naples is so unique and has such great history that after reviewing the franchise opportunity of Hammer & Nails I knew this is something I wanted to be a part of and bring to Naples and across the West Coast of Florida,” said Sander. “I’m glad that the stigma surrounding men getting pedicures and manicures is falling by the wayside. Especially with Florida’s sunshine and warm weather, people want to keep up with their appearance and nail care, and there’s opportunity for Hammer & Nails to be the go-to spot for not only grooming but a one-of-a-kind experience.”

Sander hopes to have his first location open by fall of 2021.  A second location also in Naples will shortly follow, just in time for the cooler season when people from the Midwest and the Northeast flock to Florida.

The Hammer & Nails experience coming to Naples is unlike any other. The atmosphere is low-lit, with soft ambient lighting throughout the shop. Exterior windows are tinted for privacy and the interior is furnished with dark wood and steel, creating a relaxing vibe. Members are greeted by name, escorted to a luxurious oversized Bison leather chair, and handed a menu with complimentary beverages ranging from an ice-cold water to McAllen’s whiskey, all of which is included in the service cost. Every guest has a personal TV, remote and noise-cancelling headphones for entertainment during his visit.

“We are thrilled to have Rick join our brand during such a key moment of growth. Offering hand and foot care and grooming services all under one roof is sure to revolutionize personal care in Naples and all of Florida. We know with the brand’s trend-setting atmosphere and unique service offerings, these new shops will surely become a community staple,” said Aaron Meyers President & COO of Hammer & Nails. “With Rick’s new Hammer & Nails locations, men in Florida will have never looked or felt better.”

As Meyers notes, Hammer & Nails has a strong future in Naples. Sander, Meyers and the rest of the Hammer & Nails team are looking to add more shops across Florida with qualified franchisees.

Veterans need support, especially in a pandemic… here is how you can Help A Hero in 2020

2020-10-12T12:02:39-04:00October 12th, 2020|Tags: , , , |

GEORGETOWN, Texas — Even in a pandemic, veterans are returning from active military duty to prepare for civilian careers that require them to return to school for additional education and training…often beyond what is covered financially by the GI Bill. To make educational expenses less of a burden on  service members, anyone can “Help A Hero” by getting a haircut at participating Sport Clips Haircuts now through December 5.

Experience the interactive Multichannel News Release here: https://www.multivu.com/players/English/8795851-sports-clips-haircuts-help-a-hero-scholarship-program/

New for this seventh year of the Help A Hero scholarship program is a “text to donate” option. By texting “HERO” to 71777, donors can donate directly to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Foundation that administers the VFW’s “Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship” program. Also new, the Sport Clips Clean Certified promise that stores will offer updated, next-level cleanliness and safety precautions for clients who come in for a haircut and donate via the store’s kiosk.

More than 1,750 military and student veterans have benefitted from Help A Hero Scholarships through the nearly $8 million donated to date by Sport Clips Haircuts and its generous clients and product partners. These scholarships provide up to $5,000 of assistance per semester per family to help cover the cost of tuition and fees for service members and veterans in the rank of E-5 and below.

“Supporting our nation’s military remains a priority for our veteran-founded business,” says Edward Logan, president and CEO of Sport Clips. “Even though all of our stores were temporarily closed to meet state and local COVID-19 mandates, almost all Sport Clips locations are open again, stylists are working hard to make clients comfortable and excited to return to their normal haircut routine, and we are honored to once again support the Help A Hero program for those who have given so much for us. We’re grateful to our franchisees, team members, and clients who faithfully support these important scholarships.”

“Since the start of the pandemic, the VFW and its allies have worked tirelessly to guarantee our support programs remained operational,” said Hal Roesch II, VFW national commander. “The pandemic’s impact has been far reaching, especially for our military and veteran families, and this campaign helps to ensure we can continue to provide as many student veterans with scholarships as possible.”

Many Sport Clips locations will offer free haircuts on Veterans Day November 11 to service members and veterans with valid military identification, but it is important to check here for participating stores and store hours. Also on Veterans Day, the company donates an additional dollar for every haircare service to the scholarship program, which added $100,000 to the total raised last year. Help A Hero scholarships are awarded twice a year to help cover the cost of tuition and fees. Scholarship applications are currently being accepted through November 15 for the 2021 spring semester. Apply for a Help A Hero scholarship here today.

Hammer & Nails Signs Multi-Unit Franchise Deal to Bring Men’s Grooming Shop to the Pittsburgh Community

Three New Men’s Grooming Franchises Coming to Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH — Hammer & Nails Grooming Shop for Guys, a men’s grooming shop that provides haircuts, shaves and hand & foot care, in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, is pleased to announce it has signed a three-unit franchise agreement with former sales executive Ronn Day in Pittsburgh.

While most people move to warmer climates as they approach retirement, Day did the exact opposite – he traded the sunshine and palm trees for a winter jacket and Steelers apparel when he moved across the country from Southern California last year. Pittsburgh immediately felt like home, with his family already living nearby and wife a Pittsburgh native. After immersing himself into the community, Day felt it was time to exit the corporate world after 35 years of fulfilling executive roles in sales and marketing to transition to a role that will service his new neighbors in Pittsburgh.

After the move, Day took some much needed down time to evaluate different business opportunities, which is when he discovered Hammer & Nails. He was immediately enamored by the men’s grooming shop and began researching the franchise opportunity. Not only was Day impressed by the uniqueness of the business model – a membership experience where men could be completely comfortable enjoying a hand or foot service while getting their beard groomed – it also reminded him of an old-time men’s club, but with a modern twist. In addition, he was interested in an opportunity with recurring revenue, and the membership model of Hammer & Nails provides that for an owner. While Pittsburgh has great barbershops, Day liked how Hammer & Nails goes the extra mile for its members to make the experience both personal and unique – and that’s exactly what the Pittsburgh community is all about.

“I immediately knew after reviewing the franchise opportunity of Hammer & Nails that this is something I wanted to be a part of and bring to the Pittsburgh community,” said Day. “I’m glad that the stigma surrounding men getting pedicures and manicures is falling by the wayside, and I look forward to Hammer & Nails becoming the neighborhood spot to go for not only grooming but a one-of-a-kind experience.”

Day hopes to have his first location open by year’s end, with the two other locations to open by the end of 2021. He is currently looking for locations in Wexford, Sewickley, East Liberty, Fox Chapel and Cranberry Township.

The Hammer & Nails experience coming to Pittsburgh is unlike any other. Shops have Direct TV, and every guest has a personal TV, remote and noise-cancelling headphones for entertainment during his visit.

“The men’s grooming industry is booming and Ronn is joining our brand at a key moment of growth. We’re excited to bring Hammer & Nails to the Pittsburgh community and we know with the brand’s trend-setting atmosphere and unique service offerings, these new shops will surely become a community staple,” said Nick Bertagna, Pittsburgh Area Developer and Westerville, OH franchisee for Hammer & Nails. “With Ronn’s three Hammer & Nails locations, men in Pittsburgh will have never looked or felt better.”

As Bertagna notes, Hammer & Nails has a strong future in Pittsburgh. The brand is looking to add two more shops around the Pittsburgh community with qualified franchisees, in addition to the three that Ronn will open. Hammer & Nails Signs Multi-Unit Franchise Deal to Expand Men’s Grooming Shop in Ohio

Marine Veteran Brings Three More Men’s Grooming Franchises to Central Ohio.

COLUMBUS, OhioHammer & Nails Grooming Shop for Guys, a men’s grooming shop that provides haircuts and shaves & hand and foot care, in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, is pleased to announce it has signed a multi-unit franchise agreement with Nate Anderton, a Marine veteran and entrepreneur. The pandemic didn’t stifle Anderton’s ambition, and he signed on to bring three Hammer & Nails locations to the Columbus, Ohio area.

This January, while running errands, Anderton came across the Hammer & Nails that had recently opened in Westerville. Already looking for a new business venture to dive into, he was intrigued by the men’s grooming shop and began researching the franchise opportunity. He was impressed with the uniqueness of the business model – a membership experience where men could be completely comfortable enjoying a hand or foot service while getting their beard groomed. While Columbus has great barbershops, Anderton liked how Hammer & Nails goes the extra mile for its members.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Anderton spent his adult life serving his country. After high school he spent six years in active duty for the Marines. When he got out, he still wanted to serve and joined the Army National Guard where he had a full time position for 14 years. After he retired from the Army in 2018, he was one of 70,000 veterans who applied for a special program with Amazon pairing military veterans with contracting careers, so Anderton has spent the last two years owning and operating a logistics company that contracts deliveries for Amazon.

“I was blown away by the experience at Hammer & Nails and knew pretty quickly that I wanted to be a part of the grooming shop’s growth,” said Anderton. “The stigma surrounding men getting pedicures and manicures is quickly falling by the wayside, and I look forward to offering a one-of-a-kind experience. After spending more than two decades having to be clean shaven in the military – you know what a great trim and shave feels like, and this is it.”

Anderton hopes to have his first location open by year’s end, and is looking for locations in Upper Arlington and Dublin.

The Hammer & Nails experience coming to Central Ohio is unlike any other. Shops have Direct TV, and every guest has a personal TV, remote and noise-cancelling headphones for entertainment during his visit.

“Nate is joining our brand at a key moment of growth. While the coronavirus pandemic has impacted life across America, we are confident that the men’s grooming industry will prove resilient throughout Ohio because of our driven, welcoming franchise partners like Nate,” said Nick Bertagna, Ohio Area Developer and Westerville franchisee for Hammer & Nails. “With Nate’s three Hammer & Nails locations, men in Columbus will have never looked or felt better.”

As Bertagna notes, Hammer & Nails has a strong future in Ohio. The brand is looking to add five shops in Cincinnati and five shops in Cleveland with qualified franchisees. For more information about the Hammer & Nails franchise opportunity, visit https://hammerandnailsfranchise.com/.

Record-Setting Franchise Agreement Comes Mid-Pandemic for Male Grooming Shop.

RESTON, Va. — Hammer & Nails Grooming Shop for Guys, a men’s grooming shop that provides haircuts, shaves and hand & foot care, in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, is pleased to announce it has awarded a multi-unit franchise deal to Ilona Kirzhner of Reston, Va. The mother of three boys immigrated to the United States from the FSU in 1977 and has an impressive history of career and educational wins.

In a first for the men’s grooming franchise, Kirzhner signed on to open 12 shops over the next five years throughout Washington DC and Northern Virginia (“NOVA”). The dozen Hammer & Nails shops will bring approximately 300 new jobs to the area.

Kirzhner pivoted her career to franchising when businesses across the country were impacted by the coronavirus pandemic in early 2020. She quickly found herself in a professional pause. After some self-described soul searching, she began looking into entrepreneurship by way of franchising with the help of a career transition coach from The Entrepreneur Source. When the Hammer & Nails franchise was presented to her and she dug deeper into the brand, she saw strong leadership and loved the idea of a concept that helped men look, feel and be special in a safe and male-centric environment.

“The success the Hammer & Nails leadership team has delivered with this and previous endeavors made it an extremely attractive opportunity,” said Kirzhner. “The more due diligence I did and the more I spoke with Aaron Meyers, the franchise’s President and COO, the more I knew this was the best fit for me. I was searching for a business opportunity to grow long-term and ultimately take me into retirement. Bringing Hammer & Nails, a place for men from all walks of life to escape life’s worries, will provide a welcomed getaway for men around the Beltway.”

Throughout Kirzhner’s career leading up to Hammer & Nails, she has specialized in performance improvement, government contracting, enterprise transformation, data science, change management and change leadership. With a Master of Science degree from Harvard University and a Master of Business Administration from The College of William and Mary, on top of a Bachelor of Electrical Engineer from THE Ohio State University, Kirzhner will immediately become the most educated franchisee in the Hammer & Nails family. Additionally, among several industry certifications, Kirzhner holds and has practiced as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

Kirzhner hopes to have her first location open by year’s end, and is currently looking at retail space in Loudon and Fairfax Counties. Once her first location is established, she anticipates opening at least two locations in 2021, and three locations each for the next three years.

The Hammer & Nails experience coming to Washington DC and Virginia is unlike any other.

“Ilona is a motivated, self-made woman who we are proud to call a Hammer & Nails franchisee,” said Meyers. “This is a record franchise agreement for our brand, and we are eager to see how Ilona grows and develops the brand in NOVA and Washington DC. With her tenacity and keen instinct for business mixed with Hammer & Nails’ respected franchise operations and top-tier services, we are confident that the men’s grooming industry will prove successful in her region. When she starts opening her shops, there is no ceiling to her success.”

With 12 new shops in the next five years, Hammer & Nails has a strong future in Washington DC and Virginia. For more information about the Hammer & Nails franchise opportunity, visit https://hammerandnailsfranchise.com/.
