Owners Joel and Amy Senger’s experiences in homebuilding and real estate provide them with the perfect background to market the home renovation franchise

CINCINNATI — The Designery, an immersive, full-service kitchen, bath and closet design center featuring high-quality cabinets, countertops and flooring, celebrates the grand opening of its first Ohio location with a ribbon-cutting and social event from 4- 6 p.m. on Oct. 23 at the showroom at 1895 Airport Exchange Boulevard, Suite 220, Erlanger, Kentucky.

The event will also feature giveaways and door prizes from Yeti, Solo Stove and others.

The Designery Metro Cincinnati owners Joel and Amy Senger say they want to bring customized design and renovation services to the southern Ohio and northern Kentucky region. The couple moved to the Cincinnati area from the Dallas-Fort Worth area in April 2023.

“We owned and operated Senger Custom Homes in Texas where we specialized in customized new home builds and high-end renovations and remodels,” Joel Senger said. “After moving to the Cincinnati area last year, we begin remodeling the home that we purchased. When we had trouble finding one place that offered everything we needed for our remodeling project, we decided to draw upon our experience and bring a Designery location to this area.”

Senger, a Montana native, worked as a homebuilder and superintendent for DR Horton and Antares Homes in Texas for almost 10 years. He also has experience in building custom cabinetry and won Fort Worth Magazine’s Best Remodeling Contractor award in 2019. The couple also owned a pool construction business in Texas, and Senger won an award for best outdoor environment in 2021.

Senger’s wife, Amy, worked in real estate finance and in the mortgage industry for nearly 20 years, and says she’s looking forward to helping clients in the Cincinnati area with their renovation needs.

“We believe the skills we’ve gained over the past several years in the construction and real estate financing industries will give us a competitive edge,” she said. “We also love it here. The people are so incredibly friendly here. The pace is much slower than the larger urban area we came from but is still large enough to find something fun to do.”

The couple have been married for more than 13 years, and have two children, Marley, 15, and Andie, 10. Amy Senger is also a certified Biblical counselor and volunteers a few hours a week for a ministry that offers free Biblical counseling.

Window Hero Scottsdale owner Brian Zettler said he is honored to be the first Window Hero location in Arizona and looks forward to being able to serve the Scottsdale area.

“I’ve lived in Arizona for more than 40 years, in both Tempe and Scottsdale, and absolutely love it,” he said. “Being able to open my own Window Hero location here with the support of such a strong franchise is a wonderful opportunity. Zettler is new to entrepreneurship but has managed sales teams for more than 15 years and recently helped launch two e-commerce companies. He said that owning a Window Hero location blends his interest in business ownership with his pride in home maintenance.

“I’ve owned a pressure washer since I was 10 years old,” he said. “I have always taken great pride in keeping my home well maintained. I am the type of homeowner who believes no job is too big or too small. I intend to take that same level in my customers’ homes and ensure we meet all their expectations.”

Zettler has a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University. He has one son, Dominic, 11, who is involved in student government and is on his local basketball, soccer and football teams. Zettler is also a volunteer with Phoenix Rescue Mission and All Hands Scottsdale.

The Designery widens its North Carolina footprint with a new location in Concord

Owner Carolina Preciado wants to help local residents turn their houses into homes with expertly designed kitchens, bathrooms and closets

CONCORD, N.C. — The Designery, an immersive, full-service kitchen, bath and closet design center featuring high-quality cabinets, countertops and flooring, will celebrate its newest location at 96 McGill Avenue, NW, Concord, North Carolina, with a grand opening event from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, in the outlet’s showroom.

The event will feature music from local artist David Gibson, a “Taste of Concord” event featuring a sampling of dishes from the area’s favorite restaurants, and a chance to win prizes, such as an Amazon Echo and gift cards to local eateries.

Preciado is originally from Bogota, Columbia, but moved to Florida when she was 2 years old. She moved to Huntersville, North Carolina, in 2006. She lived in Charlotte, North Carolina, prior to opening her location in Concord.

Preciado is no stranger to serving the public. She has worked as a realtor and spent 20 years in the culinary industry before opening her own business. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her partner, her nieces and nephews, and her three cats.

Window Hero Albuquerque owners Art and Amanda Velasquez say their goal is to build a reputable local company that serves its clients while building generational wealth for their family.

Velasquez spent the majority of his career in management positions in the oil and gas industry and has also owned a local food truck. He plans to use his leadership skills to manage his new venture and reach out to the community.

Temporary Wall Systems owners Brendan and Courtney Mahoney will host a booth at the event, which showcases planned military construction in the Northwest region. Local owners Kipp and Brooke Koeppel say their reusable containment system is perfect for a growing city like Austin that is also concerned with environmental impact

AUSTIN, Texas — Temporary Wall Systems (TWS), the first and leading full-service, temporary containment wall provider in the United States, will introduce its new Austin, Texas, location at the Austin Build Expo at the Palmer Events Center on May 22-23.

Temporary Wall Systems Austin owners Kipp and Brooke Koeppel will be on-hand at Booth 333 to give out information about the company and will offer a giveaway of a YETI 24 hard cooler.

“We’re excited about our new Temporary Wall Systems venture and look forward to bringing a cleaner, more efficient containment and abatement solution to the Austin construction industry,” Kipp Koeppel said. “Austin is a rapidly growing city, and there is a lot of construction and renovation as a result. Our system will allow businesses to safely expand and reinvent themselves while continuing to operate as usual and do it in a way that is better for the environment.”

The Koeppels moved to Austin in 2020 after spending several years in Charlotte, North Carolina. The couple met while selling advertising at an Alabama newspaper. Kipp Koeppel then spent the next 15 years in the financial services industry in a variety of positions, including 401(k) recordkeeping, sales and relationship management.

Brooke Koeppel continued her work in sales before eventually moving on to staffing and then financial advisor recruiting for several large financial institutions.

In addition to their corporate jobs, the couple also invested in real estate and rental properties over the past 14 years, doing a lot of the renovation work themselves. It is with this experience that they saw a need in the market for reliable contractors with a focus on customer service.

After moving to Austin, the couple introduced The Brothers that just do Gutters franchise to the area and have since earned recognition as a “Best Place to Work” by the Austin Business Journal in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

“We love Austin’s unique vibe, plentiful outdoor activities, delicious food options and live music scene,” Brooke Koeppel said. “Opening another franchise in this community just solidified our commitment to invest in Austin and all it has to offer.”

The couple believes their experience in sales, marketing, recruiting, HR, accounting, operations, home improvement and social media will prove valuable in launching their TWS location.

Local owners Roby and Susan Allen want to help keep North Mississippi beautiful with the addition of their exterior cleaning service

OXFORD, Miss. — Window Hero, a HomeFront Brands franchise specializing in a wide range of exterior cleaning services, will celebrate the grand opening of its first Mississippi location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14 at the Circle Square Brewery.

The event is closed to the public but will be hosted by Window Hero North Mississippi and the Oxford–Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce.

Window Hero North Mississippi owners Roby and Susan Allen have lived in North Mississippi for the past three years and have several connections in the real estate and commercial and custom residential contracting industries.

“Oxford is a true gem,” Roby Allen said. “The University of Mississippi—Ole Miss—and the town of Oxford intertwine to provide an authentic southern experience in everything from food to football and tailgating in the Grove in the fall.”

Roby Allen is no stranger to business ownership. He is a shareholder in a large regional insurance company where he has also worked in client development and relations.

A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Roby Allen brings extensive sales and management skills to the couple’s new Window Hero business.

“We want to significantly contribute to the community’s growth,” Susan Allen said. “We are active members of our community and look forward to helping keep North Mississippi beautiful with our exterior cleaning services.”

The couple have two adult children, Noah and Abby, and say they are thrilled to have the opportunity to build a business together.

Local pest control company reopens as Yard Patrol Pros with a ribbon-cutting celebration

Local owners AJ Bodick and Garrett Chisum will also showcase new office space for their Window Hero Lake Norman location as they celebrate the relaunch of both property service brands

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Yard Patrol Pros Charlotte will host a grand opening and relaunch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the company’s new office at 20468 Chartwell Center Drive, Cornelius, North Carolina, on Monday, May 6 at 9 a.m.

Yard Patrol Pros owners AJ Bodick and Garrett Chisum are also using the new location as the headquarters of their Window Hero Lake Norman venture. Both Yard Patrol Pros and Window Hero are franchise brands under the umbrella of HomeFront Brands, a property service franchise platform company.

The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce and commissioners from the Town of Cornelius will be on hand to help the businesses celebrate their relaunch.

Bodick and Chisum were owners of the local Mozzie Dome pest control franchise, but, earlier this year, HomeFront Brands relaunched that franchise as Yard Patrol Pros to better highlight the company’s natural and barrier pest control treatments. As part of their relaunch, Yard Patrol Pros Charlotte will present its new turf fertilization service at the event.

“With a new office for Window Hero and Yard Patrol Pro’s new name and focus, we felt it was a great time to celebrate with a grand opening and relaunch party,” Bodick said. “As multi-unit franchise owners with HomeFront Brands, we want to feature both our brands and let our community know that we are open for business.”

In addition to the ribbon-cutting ceremony, participants will have a chance to handle a fertilizing gun, a pressure washer, a squeegee and a robotic pressure washer.

“We want to give customers an idea of what it is we do and how we do it,” Bodick said. “This way, the community will have an interactive event that allows them to get a feel for the tools of our trade.”
