The Paramedics of Property Damage Recognize Chris Schatz at the Annual Convention for Continued Success and Contributions to the PuroClean Franchise

BROOMFIELD, Colo. — PuroClean, one of the country’s leading property restoration and remediation franchises, is thrilled to announce that local entrepreneur Chris Schatz, owner of PuroClean of Broomfield, received the coveted PuroClean On the Move Award at the International PuroClean Convention. With nearly 500 franchise locations across North America, Chris was awarded by the PuroClean Home Office for being someone who has gone above and beyond to achieve success within the network while also dedicating himself to the success of others and his community.

“I’m speechless for the first time in my entire life,” said Chris Schatz, Owner of PuroClean of Broomfield. “Some of you guys came to my shop the other night and experienced what I’ve built over the past four years. PuroClean is where my heart is at. PuroClean is where I want to be in the future, where I want to leave my legacy. I want to thank my brother, GM, operation manager, wife, and everyone who has helped me get to this point. There are too many people to thank but I appreciate everyone. Thank you.”

The On the Move Award celebrates exceptional Franchise Owners within the PuroClean network who embody the brand’s core pillars: servant leadership, active collaboration, and extreme ownership. Since acquiring his PuroClean business in April 2020, Schatz has exemplified the drive and commitment necessary to succeed with this World Class Brand.

Schatz, a multi-unit franchisee and two-time President Circle recipient, began his career as an EMT before transitioning to the oil and gas industry. His journey into the restoration industry ignited a passion for handling large losses and serving prominent vendors in the field. After refining his skills as an operations manager at another restoration company, Schatz spent three years at a major restoration firm. His path ultimately led him to PuroClean, where he became a part owner after initially owning one franchise and later acquiring three more. Schatz values creating a family atmosphere and collaborating with like-minded individuals, emphasizing respect for employees guided by the principle of treating others as you wish to be treated. Family-oriented, Schatz has involved his brother in his business to support its growth.

Schatz’s ambition extends beyond his personal success; he is deeply committed to assisting others, has generously offered his time to travel and aid other owners, and has mentored several struggling locations. As evident by his offices’ upward trajectory, Schatz has been recognized back-to-back as a 2022 and 2023 President’s Circle member.

“Nominated by the PuroClean Home Office and selected by the Executive Team, I am proud to present this award to Chris Schatz,” said PuroClean President and COO Steve White. “We do not present this award every year—it is reserved for those who truly exemplify the drive and commitment needed to get their office On the Move. Chris and his team are exemplary representatives of this dedication, and we are all very proud to see him succeed and earn our On the Move Award.”

For over 20 years, PuroClean has helped home and business owners with their restoration and remediation needs, serving communities across the United States and Canada with a network nearing 500 offices. The brand is additionally seeking the right individuals who may be in construction and looking to add a restoration component to their business.

PuroClean of Morristown Named Franchise of the Year

2024-06-25T15:55:27-04:00June 25th, 2024|Tags: , , , , , |

Local New Jersey Business Named Top-Performing North American Franchise at 2024 Annual PuroClean Owner’s Convention

MORRISTOWN, N.J. — PuroClean, one of the country’s leading property restoration and remediation franchises, has announced its 2023 Franchise of the Year. Nelson and Sujey Rivera, owners of PuroClean of Morristown, were named the PuroClean Franchise of the Year at the company’s Annual International Convention. Selected from nearly 500 franchise locations across North America, PuroClean of Morristown was recognized for receiving outstanding scores across several categories, including sales growth, market share, sales revenue, and profitability, among others.

The Riveras, who co-own and operate PuroClean of MorristownLivingston, and Bloomfield, exemplify PuroClean’s commitment to helping New Jersey residents and their properties recover from the unthinkable when disaster strikes.

As the third of 12 children, the father of two young daughters, and a decorated firefighter, Nelson knows the importance of being there for community members in their darkest hours. Currently the Deputy Fire Chief in Orange, NJ, he has earned multiple awards for his bravery and dedication to service, including the City of Orange Chamber of Commerce Valor Award, New Jersey State Firemen’s Mutual Benevolent Association Award for Valor, and the American Red Cross Hero Award.

“There can only be one Franchise of the Year, and with so many wonderful franchise owners, it’s always a tight competition,” said Steve White, President and COO of PuroClean. “As both a PuroClean Franchise Owner and an active firefighter, Nelson Rivera has worked tirelessly to put out both literal and figurative fires, putting his life on the line for others while expecting nothing in return. He has seen and helped people through their worst days, whether it be water, storm, mold, or fire damage. Nelson and Sujey exemplify what it means to be a true Paramedic of Property Damage—everyone should take a page or two out of the Rivera family’s book.”

Nelson has been a resident of Essex County since 1999, when his family made the move to Newark. He later relocated to Orange, where he began serving as a firefighter in 2009 and still serves to this day as the Deputy Fire Chief. Nelson’s journey with PuroClean began as a technician, and it was through working with the owner of PuroClean Livingston that he discovered his passion for the business.

In 2017, Nelson, along with his co-owner and wife, Sujey, moved to Livingston to be closer to the business. Soon afterward, the duo opened their first PuroClean franchise in Morristown, later expanding to Bloomfield and then Livingston, where Nelson first got his start. Nelson still serves as a chief in the Orange Fire Department, running the business when not on duty. Now, with a total of five locations – four of which are in New Jersey – his franchise serves all of Essex County and nearby areas. Recently, he expanded into Oregon in partnership with two other PuroClean franchise owners.

“We’re so honored. All I have to say is that, honestly, in the almost five years that we’ve been here, it’s been such an incredible experience. Nelson is such a hardworking person, and he’s so deserving,” Sujey said. “I want to give so many thanks to the corporate team. What we continue to do is never enough; we always want to try to be better. I appreciate all the support of everyone, [who] from the beginning, has always just shown so much love and support. We’re here because of all of you. So, thank you.”

PuroClean is one of the leading restoration franchise companies in the United States. Each year, the brand performs thousands of jobs throughout North America, providing restoration services for everything from common household mishaps to large-scale disasters.

As a leading franchise concept, the PuroClean model is ideal for business entrepreneurs passionate about contributing to their communities during times of need or natural disasters. The Paramedics of Property Damage Welcome Eight New Franchise Offices Across Five States

TAMARAC, Fla. — PuroClean, one of the country’s leading property restoration and remediation franchises, is thrilled to announce the addition of eight new franchise offices across five states in Q1 of 2024. This strategic expansion reinforces PuroClean’s commitment to nationwide excellence and dedication to delivering top-tier services and support to diverse communities. PuroClean has kicked off 2024 with numerous honorable accolades, and the momentum continues as the brand secures prominent rankings in Franchise Direct’s Top Global Franchises listing and beyond.

PuroClean’s new franchise owners are joining the team with unique skills and diverse backgrounds, extending the brand’s national footprint into more regions. PuroClean’s new franchise owners will serve the following territories:

  • Nick Ondrejka, owner of PuroClean of San Rafael, CA, is a California native who brings over 25 years of experience in leading technology transformation and operations from esteemed firms such as Wells Fargo and JP Morgan Chase. An avid paddle boarder and kayaker, Nick is well-versed in the challenges of the Bay area, where he’s lived for 27 years. Among other opportunities, Nick volunteers as a Command Center team member for the local Neighborhood Response Group, showcasing his commitment to disaster response readiness.
  • Noel Cornejo, hailing from a family business background that includes a pizza parlor and laundromat, is serving PuroClean of South Merced, CA, drawn to its high margin potential after a business study he conducted on the brand for his MBA research project. When he is not working, tending to his kids, or busy finishing up his MBA, Noel and his wife can often be found riding the countryside on his Harley. His business will be a family affair, with his wife and father joining him.
  • Ryan Weisheyer, a Marine Corps veteran who specialized in Logistics and Operations, is bringing PuroClean to Bonney Lake, WA. During his years of service, Ryan was twice deployed to Iraq, served in the US Africa Command, and in a UN Peacekeeping Mission, and participates in voluntary work with organizations such as Team Rubicon. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys outdoor and family activities. Having experienced water damage firsthand in a family property, Ryan is committed to meeting or exceeding the expectations of the community he calls home.
  • Peter Girgis of PuroClean of San Fernando, CA, managed a mortgage business prior to opening his own construction company where he often collaborated with restoration companies to assist customers experiencing property damage. An active member of the Christian Coptic Church, Peter values a strong relationship with his family and quality time with his children, engaging in their activities. Drawn to the strong brand presence and reputation of PuroClean, Peter is focused on delivering consistent, quality service to his local community.
  • Daisy and Saul Martinez, high school sweethearts turned husband-and-wife duo, bring PuroClean to The Colony, TX, under their joint ownership with extensive experience in financial management and roofing business, respectively. Members of the Immaculate Catholic Church, this couple enjoys a strong family unit and likes to travel in their spare time. Both were drawn to PuroClean’s proven business model, established marketing strategies, and more.
  • Cadell and Anson Orra dynamic father-and-son duo, are combining their expertise and strong work ethic to serve PuroClean of Ridgewood, NJ, as a minority-owned business. Both avid sports fans and natives of New Jersey, this duo has worked primarily in construction – Anson, over 30 years, and Cadell over 16. Introduced to PuroClean by Cadell’s good friend, a PuroClean multi-unit franchise owner who invited him to work on a job that left Cadell with a sense of satisfaction in servitude, and feeling like they were wearing “Superman capes.” Both are driven by a desire to create generational wealth.
  • Blake Daughtrywith 14 years of experience within the banking sector and entrepreneurship, brings customer service and business operations skills to PuroClean of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, serving the areas where he grew up, spanning southeast Alabama and the Florida panhandle where he witnessed property damage firsthand following a hurricane. Blake was drawn to PuroClean after witnessing the franchise owners he met, their knowledge of the business, and genuine care for the brand.
  • Nikita Tereshchenkov, at 24 years old, is the youngest member of the group. Born in Russia and raised in northeast Tacoma by a family of entrepreneurs, Nick is expanding his entrepreneurial background and vision to PuroClean of Northeast Tacoma, WA. As the owner of a flooring business, Nick enjoys being in close proximity to his customers and joins PuroClean because he was intrigued by the business and drawn to the culture. In his spare time, Nick enjoys fishing, hunting, and learning business development skills.

“We are thrilled to welcome our newest franchise owners to the PuroClean family,” said Steve White, President and COO of PuroClean. “Each new franchise owner has a strong passion to bring restoration services to their community and help others during difficult times. We are confident their hard work and commitment to excellence will enhance our ability to serve communities across the nation.”
