Pür & Simple® has taken brunch to a new level, with more than 50 restaurants open across Canada offering its Breakfast Reinvented®. It is now poised to fill an untapped breakfast-lunch gap throughout the U.S.
According to Sean Sarrami, chief development officer and co-owner, brunch is the most underserved category in the restaurant business.
“We are the next level,” he said. “We offer breakfast and have elevated it.”
Founded in Quebec in 2016, the brand stands out with its fresh design, décor and vibe as well as its imaginative, flavorful twists on the traditional breakfast-lunch offerings.
“We care about every single plate,” said Sarrami. “Some of our competitors have nothing on us. They sell breakfast and are not at the level we are.”
The Pür & Simple branding stands for pure, good, wholesome options for customers, while the simple part is in the franchising. Menu options include signature smoothies, coffees and lattes iced or hot, artisanal alcoholic beverages, easily prepared, chef-inspired recipes and special dietary options including gluten-free and vegan.
Among the dishes sure to please are seasonal offerings such as its apple-cinnamon French toast and cookie butter waffles. The menu also includes twists on classic meals, such as eggs Benedicts, skillet dishes, crêpes, pancakes, farm-fresh eggs, gourmet omelets, burgers, sandwiches and more.
No restaurant background is required to become a Pür & Simple franchisee. More important is having the willingness to learn and a passion to grow in the hospitality industry.
The brand provides five weeks of comprehensive, hands-on training, including two weeks in Canada and three weeks in the new owner’s store. Franchisees can begin with about 20 employees and scale upward, building a lucrative, niche business.
For the first quarter of 2025, Pür & Simple plans to open its first U.S. training center in Florida and its first store in San Antonio. The brand has signed nearly 20 agreements in the Fort Lauderdale and Orlando areas of Florida and envisions having 25 stores open in the U.S. in its first year.
Pür & Simple sees amazing opportunities in the U.S. for both owner-operators and investors who understand the brand and its goals.
“We are willing to go anywhere in the U.S.,” Sarrami said, noting that only a handful of states are non-registered.
The brand assists with securing financing, site location, lease negotiations, construction and marketing and provides a U.S. supplier for product as well as 24/7 support.
“We are a full-hands-on franchisor,” Sarrami said.
Another huge draw for franchisees is a balanced personal and professional life achievable in an unsaturated market. Stores are open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily with employees arriving at 6 a.m. and leaving by 4 p.m.
“After 4 p.m., you are 98% off,” Sarrami said.
Pür & Simple is a proven business model backed by experienced professionals, with high profit margins and a hospitality-first mentality.
The brand’s website sums it up best: “As a Pür & Simple Franchise Partner, you’ll benefit from our proven recipe for success; entrepreneurial independence, operational support and the can-do attitude of a business community that always sees life on the sunny side.”
