With a dynamic base of franchisees, leaders and team members, PrideStaff’s mission is to provide customized talent solutions to employers. Recognizing the importance of staff development on the success of any business, PrideStaff provides franchisees with a proven model, comprehensive support, robust tools and expert guidance to succeed while ensuring service excellence in temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire placements.
Committed to recruiting talented partners, PrideStaff has attracted top-performing female entrepreneurs to its franchise system. Amy Linn, franchisee of PrideStaff North Dallas, progressed from a temp job to Branch Manager and ownership.
“Being a part of a growth company, you have access to opportunity,” she explained to Brad Smith on PrideStaff’s Strategic Insights – Women in Leadership Series. “The entrepreneurial spirit that is a part of this organization is contagious. I not only worked for the original franchise but had the opportunity to get to know, work with and be mentored by the founder.”
Linn also credits PrideStaff founder and mentor George Rogers with playing an instrumental role in her franchising success.
Linn’s story is not unique in the PrideStaff family. Blanca Covarrubias, franchisee of PrideStaff Visalia, also started out as a temp. She excelled in payroll, finance, staffing, consulting and business development positions.
“In 2013, I decided to go back to school and get my masters. One of my business projects was to prepare a business plan, and one day, I saw a couple come in through PrideStaff on their Discovery Day,” Covarrubias said to Smith. “The light bulb just went off! I really enjoy this industry.”
Additionally, Ann Gilbert, franchisee of the Phoenix Metro-East Valley and Scottsdale PrideStaff offices, brought a strong staffing background to the table when she joined the team.
“My husband and I moved to Phoenix Valley in 2003. I started the interview process and stumbled across PrideStaff,” she told Smith. “When I interviewed with PrideStaff, my heart just said, ‘That’s where I need to be.’ It was much more of a family feel. I felt like they were really genuine about what they were doing.”
In addition to growing a profitable book of business and expanding into new sales territories, Gilbert moved on to branch management and franchise ownership.
Ana Munoz, franchisee of PrideStaff Chicagoland West-Southwest, offers another success story. She was hired as an assistant and rapidly progressed to leadership levels until the franchise owners offered her a partnership following their retirement.
“I ended up becoming a partner in February 2017,” Munoz said to Smith. “If there’s one thing that I can say about PrideStaff, it’s that they want you to succeed. They’re not in the business of just opening up franchises.”
The stories told by some of PrideStaff’s most successful female entrepreneurs are full of challenges and triumphs, but these women share common traits: gratitude and commitment to a brand with a mission to provide its franchisees with the blueprint, support and resources needed to succeed.
