THE BUZZ

While the number of cable TV and print media advertisements have declined in recent years, the founders of N-Compass TV identified an area of advertising that hadn’t yet been tapped: local businesses.

“They wanted to create an advertising medium in the local community that effectively targets consumers in their day-to-day lives,” said Patrick Brennan, N-Compass TV’s director of business development and strategic alliances.

In 2008, N-Compass TV was born, bringing digital billboards to the community of Denver and then eventually to New York City. In addition to these successful test runs, the company wanted to explore expanding nationally and introduced N-Compass TV as a network business opportunity. Through this opportunity, entrepreneurs can replicate the company’s successful business model. Under this model, business owners can open dealerships under their own LLC and unique business name.

Since its founding, N-Compass TV has grown to 3,500 screens nationwide in over 250 cities and 100 dealerships. The company was even named one of Inc. Magazine’s 5,000 fastest-growing companies in America in 2018. The draw of this business opportunity for many dealership owners is the low cost associated with starting their business. With a flat entry fee of just $35,000 and no need for a physical office space or additional staff, there is a low barrier to entry for entrepreneurs.

Additionally, the N-Compass TV model doesn’t include any royalties, which allows even the smallest dealerships to have potential for large revenue. Authorized dealers also have the ability to manage their own schedules and scale their growth on their own timeline.

The low cost of entry has shown Brennan just how much the business opportunity can make an impact on people’s lives. “Being able to see people change their lives, genuinely truly change their lives and accomplish things they’ve only dreamed up, has been just incredible to witness,” he said.
