With school schedules and formats in flux, there has been an increased interest in tutoring services due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In order to meet the increased demand, Huntington Learning Center has expanded its hours of operation and offerings to support students and families across the country. A brand new program, Huntington Study Hall, provides the opportunity for students to attend their own virtual schools in person at an accredited Huntington Learning Center or online with a certified teacher on hand to support coursework.

Within a week of launching the Huntington Study Hall initiative in July 2020, close to 75% of Huntington’s 300 centers enrolled in the program.

“Our mission at Huntington is to give every student the best education possible, and our franchisees are at the forefront of making our mission a reality,” said Anne Huntington, President of Huntington Learning Center. “Our entire Huntington community has been working tirelessly to provide support and resources to ensure that our vision of world-class student results and franchisee profitability continues. The most important aspect is to ensure that each center can help their students and families during this time, which is why we continue to roll out free customer resources such as webinars and new program offerings.”

Huntington locations adhere to CDC and government guidelines in regard to COVID-19. That includes adhering to capacity limits, face coverings, and hand washing as well as following cleaning and social distancing standards. In addition, all of Huntington’s programs are available in person as well as online.

Homework Help and the virtual learning platform Huntington Helps LIVE launched as a direct response to school closures in March against the threat of COVID-19. In just a few days, these innovative programs were deployed across Huntington’s entire system, allowing franchisees to keep their businesses open even while having to temporarily close brick-and-mortar locations. Despite the challenging climate, Huntington Learning Center remains the tutoring industry’s revenue leader, sitting 77% above their closest competitor.
