The Tools You Need for a Successful Start
Tulika Bansal and her husband, Mohit, wanted to remain productive after becoming empty nesters which led them to research franchise opportunities. With successful careers in education and IT, respectively, they brought a wide range of skills to the table.
“I have a varied professional background, with my last role being a lead teacher at a preschool,” Bansal said. “My husband’s career has given him global exposure in a variety of roles from sales to operations.”
The couple understood the importance of providing services and solutions that help individuals stay active while supporting them throughout their health and wellness journeys. iFlex® Stretch Studios offers expert-assisted stretching programs designed to enhance flexibility, relieve tension and improve overall wellness. Serving clients ranging from young athletes and older adults to desk-bound professionals and people recovering from chronic injuries, the brand offers solutions that address the needs of all members.
As a member of Sequel Brands, iFlex Stretch Studios caught the Bansals’ attention.
“The pedigree of the Sequel brand, combined with the iFlex leaders and their overall team, is extremely impressive. They seem to know exactly how success looks and the path to get there,” Bansal said.
She also noted that iFlex appeared less operationally complex than other franchise concepts.
“It can be established on a smaller scale yet have an immense impact on the community. It seemed like a good fit for first-time franchise owners,” she explained.
The Bansals are currently in the process of opening their first franchise in Buckhead, Georgia, and are very satisfied with the support they have received.
“The franchise team is extremely empathetic,” Bansal said. “They are responsive and invested in our success. We are not yet open, but it’s heartening to note that there are multiple partners available for the franchisees.”
While short-term goals are focused on learning the business model and achieving profitability with their first unit, the Bansals are also interested in eventually expanding into a multi-unit franchise setup.
“Our long-term goals are a little fuzzy right now due to several possibilities,” Bansal said. “Either we improve the value to cash out as a retirement vehicle or pass it on to our children if they are interested at a certain point in time.”
