Creating a Stronger Community for Everyone

The Mr. Transmission® and Milex Complete Auto Care franchises, operated by Moran Family of Brands, place a great deal of importance on addressing humanity’s greatest needs.

Committed to charitable contributions and community outreach both nationally and in local communities, the company encourages each of its franchisees to give back through several initiatives.

“Through our core values of DRIVE – Dedication, Respect, Integrity, Vision and Engagement – we strive to have a positive impact for all nationally and within our communities,” said Pete Baldine, president of the Moran Family of Brands. “Part of our discovery day presentation even highlights the importance of giving back and finding a local charity that potential franchisees are passionate about.”

Over the years, the brand has formed a solid partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, as well as local branches of Together We Cope, Toys for Tots, Autism Speaks and the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The company also supports dozens of Scout groups and is involved with a variety of veterans organizations. The Gary Goodgear Foundation was founded by the brand to help members of the community facing emergency situations.

“That’s been a fantastic organization that has provided financial support – sometimes to our own franchisees – who have faced life crises, like hurricanes and fires,” Baldine said.

A company-wide food drive is also hosted annually.

“Our food drive runs from Oct. 25 to Nov. 22 and helps support local food pantries right before the holidays,” Baldine said. “This year, our company-wide goal is to donate 10,000 cans of food.”

According to Baldine, the company’s philanthropic roots run deep. The company’s charitable initiatives were instituted by company founders Dennis and Cele Moran more than 30 years ago and are now continued by their daughter, Barbara Moran-Goodrich.

“The Morans were always very appreciative of the community support they received,” Baldine said. “That’s what has inspired their commitment to give back.”

And the company only hopes to expand its philanthropic efforts in the future, offering significant support to franchisees who strive to support the communities that support them. For the Mr. Transmission and Milex Complete Auto Care franchises, giving back will always be an important focus for the brand.
