Alesia Visconti, CEO and President of FranServe, Inc. recently was named to the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Leadership Council. The NSBA is the nation’s oldest small-business advocacy organization and operates on a staunchly nonpartisan basis. Visconti, a recognized leader in the franchise and small-business community, joins the NSBA Leadership Council to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C.

“I am honored to have Alesia Visconti as part of our Leadership Council,” stated NSBA President and CEO Todd McCracken. “She came to us highly recommended, and I look forward to our coordinated efforts for years to come. Her experience and knowledge is outstanding and we’re proud to have her as a thought leader to further our cause.”

Visconti, who is no stranger to fighting the good fight for small businesses – including franchises and franchise owners – sees her role in the Leadership Council for the NSBA dove-tailing with her extensive involvement with the International Franchise Association (IFA).

“It’s amazing to me how many people don’t realize that franchises ARE small businesses,” Visconti said. “I absolutely see the importance of being involved and active when it comes to laws and regulation impacting small businesses,” she said. “Being part of the NSBA’s Leadership Council will enable me to take our collective small-business message to the people that need to hear it most: Congress! Together, we will strive to tackle the many critical issues facing small business, including tax reform, regulatory restraint, health care costs and how access to capital will impact small business. The NSBA Leadership Council is focused on providing valuable networking between small-business advocates from across the country while ensuring small business a seat at the table as Congress and regulators take up key proposals. To be on the Leadership Council of the NSBA is a huge honor!”
