FAMILY AFFAIR
For over 25 years, Ace Handyman Services has been dedicated to promoting a healthy work-life balance for franchise owners. For Todd and Joni Concienne, this was one of the many factors that drew them to the brand, as they made the transition from manufacturing management and education into franchise ownership.
When the couple’s children started having kids of their own, they agreed it was time to move back to Beaumont, Texas, to be closer to their family.
After discussing their ideal scenarios for the future, the Conciennes agreed on “more freedom and control of our time.” Joni explained, “We wanted to create something that aligned with our interests, operated according to our values and something that we could be proud of.”
With the hope of achieving their personal goals, building a service-centric team, connecting with and giving back to their community and establishing a meaningful workplace that would fulfill their lives, the Conciennes were presented with several opportunities when it came to franchises.
When asked what drew them to Ace Handyman Services, Todd answered: “It was obviously the brand and the rich history that it carries with it.”
In addition to comprehensive training, ongoing marketing, continuous support, cutting-edge technology and a robust service path designed to surpass customer expectations, Ace Handyman Services offers franchisees a partnership with top name recognition, trust and power.
“Each of us has certain functions that we enjoy doing and do well. I would say it is like any great team in that each player has a position that he or she is best-suited for, and that position has its own roles and responsibilities,” said Todd about working together as partners in both marriage and business. “The best teams have players that complement one another.”
The Conciennes have established a rewarding franchise and have learned a valuable lesson while doing so: In life and in business, success usually comes down to cultivating the right partnerships and aligning with the organizations that share your standards.
