The Power of Support

Jeremy Thacker was no stranger to entrepreneurship. Throughout his career, he had owned multiple businesses and some franchises, but he hadn’t found the type of business he felt would endure until he retired. He knew he wanted to pursue the franchise route, having had experience growing businesses from the ground up. He was familiar with the benefits of a proven, turnkey franchise model.

“I felt that, by being part of a franchise system, I was being empowered for success by buying into an already proven system with a turnkey business which resulted in a lower failure rate,” Thacker said.

Having had prior experience with a staffing franchise, he found the PrideStaff model made sense. It was the support and industry expertise that the brand provided that won him over. He visited PrideStaff’s home office, and that solidified his decision.

“When I met with PrideStaff’s home office for the first time, it was the unity that I felt between the franchisor and franchisee. I saw a business model that was bulletproof due to the systems and training that were in place,” Thacker said. “It was very impressive to walk into the corporate office as a potential franchisee and see the level of knowledge and support each department brought to every individual office.”

In December 2009, Thacker opened his Memphis, Tennessee, location, with PrideStaff providing hands-on support that has continued as his business has grown.

“PrideStaff’s home office is an extension of my local team,” he said. “My entire team has the home office on speed dial and has a personal relationship with the entire corporate office for all departments: training, marketing, risk management, accounts receivable or even a direct question for one of the Co- CEOs. The support my team is given is second to none.”

Since then, Thacker has grown his business into something that could be his legacy – something he could one day pass down to his children.

“One of my greatest accomplishments is being able to create a lifetime opportunity for my son, Corbin, who has grown up in the business to become part of the PrideStaff family,” said Thacker. “His future goal is to own his own PrideStaff franchise. When you can be part of an organization that creates an opportunity like this for your children, you know you’ve made the right choice and chose to be part of the right franchise.”

Thacker is proud of the impact his PrideStaff business has on his local community.

“When I’m out and a random person comes up to me, like recently in the grocery store, and says, ‘You may not know me, but I know you from PrideStaff, and it is because of you I am able to put a meal on the table for my family,’ – it’s moments like this when I realize there is a purpose to what I do. It’s to make a difference in not only my life but also in the lives of those who walk through the doors at PrideStaff,” said Thacker.
