Franchising is a great place for women to lead, as a female founder, business owner or supplier to the industry (like me). Women owners continue to grow as taking advantage of a wide variety of opportunities every day. Whether operating solo or hiring employees, they add value to the local economy, create wealth, empower others and lead the next generation. Special Section: Women in Franchising

You may not be aware of the many resources available in the industry.

This magazine is owned by a female leader in franchising and the editor is a woman. More information is shared throughout the publication to support opening a business. Plus, the International Franchise Association (Franchise.org) has the Women’s Franchise Committee and local networks (WFNs) where you can find advocates, mentors and support. Look further, read more and raise your hand – not to ask permission, but to say, “I am ready!”

If you currently work for someone else, become an owner instead. No matter your personal circumstances: making a career change, busy caring for others, or raising a family – whatever it is – there is a business that fits your lifestyle, personal and professional aspirations. Evaluate brands based on investment level, your interests and level of involvement in the day-to-day operation.

If you are a female founder, you may be compelled to franchise your business, taking what you have developed and sharing your process, systems and brand with others. Show others how you became successful and how they can be, too. Now, you can lead them on their journey.

If it were easy, everyone would do it, but if you want it, you can make it happen. Take the initiative to start, invest wisely and work with determination.

  • Find the balance you want in your life.
  • Create the future you seek.
  • Reach your goals and achieve your dreams.

Your promise to yourself is what will make it happen and you will become a “Woman of Wonder”, too.
