Encore Salon Suites is a proven salon studio concept currently operating two corporate franchise locations and one franchise location. Encore has a valuable offering that both owners and tenants love. By providing tenants with furnished or unfurnished suites, flexible lease terms, comfortable common areas, business licensing assistance and clean studios, the brand keeps its tenant turnover rate low and owner suites full.
Patrice “Sway” McKinney, founder and CEO of Encore Salon Suites, turned down a professional basketball career and quit her well-paying corporate job to be an entrepreneur. “In August of 2008, I moved to Atlanta to pursue a barbering career. After getting my master barber and stylist license in 2013 and opening my first salon in 2014, I quickly recognized that the lucrative salon suites business would be a great fit for me,” said McKinney. “In 2016, I finally made my dream a reality, and I invested in my first salon suite business with a partner. After a couple of years, I decided that it was time to start my own brand, which is how Encore Salon Suites was born.”
McKinney has created a business that is welcoming to a variety of beauty professionals, including hairstylists, barbers, teeth whitening professionals, aestheticians, masseuses, and nail technicians. Her design results in a high-quality, multi-service salon that brings salon professionals and clients together.
“Being an entrepreneur gives me more personal and financial freedom, and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made,”
said McKinney.
Encore’s total investment is $150,550 to $341,650, including $30,000 to $50,000 working capital for various expenses during the first three months of operation. This semi-absentee franchise opportunity has no employees and selects one beauty professional at each salon suite to act as a liaison and manager.
