If you’ve considered owning your own business, but only if you could make a difference in other people’s lives, now is your chance. The country needs leadership today, probably more than ever, to support local communities. Your entrepreneurial spirit and drive to open your own business could also be the answer to help others find a career they love, while helping clients live better too.
If this past spring has shown us anything, the human spirit is resilient, but the body needs trained professionals to help. Whether it is with nutrition, health care, holistic wellness, or personal-care services, the general population can’t perform these tasks on its own.
If you’ve been thinking about opening your own business – whether you have been furloughed or are simply dissatisfied with working for someone else – you should consider a franchise.
Here’s why.
In a franchise system, YOU have a community to support you. Franchisors support their owners
with the most critical components of the business, such as where to find products and how to perform services with methods that are efficient and profitable.
During these last few months, franchisors were there for their franchisees. They secured critical PPE, offered training to quickly adapt to the changing environment and assisted accessing the SBA-backed Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Economic Injury and Disaster Loans (EIDL) loans to support expenses in an unforeseen economic downturn.
Franchise owners could simply follow guidance provided by their franchisor, free to focus on their customers and staff. They are the small-business owners who will thrive coming out of this crisis.
Whether you knew it or not, franchise owners are the front line in every community. They live, shop and raise their families there. They own homes and walk their dogs through town. They know the neighbors.
You are just like them. Your business should be where local residents go when they need support in their quest for health and wellness. So go ahead, look at these franchise brands. Ask the founders and their franchisees why they do what they do. You might just find that they will inspire you to finally take the next step to a healthier, happier you.
