Who is the pioneer putting a fresh spin on juice bar franchises with gourmet toast creations? Brianna Keefe.
From a young age, Toastique Founder Brianna Keefe displayed a passion for health and wellness and always dreamed of one day owning a health-centric café. When she became a collegiate D1 athlete in need of quick, healthy meals to keep her energy up while on the go, she began experimenting with toast creations to provide the perfect combination of carbs, protein, and healthy fats in a grab-and-go form.
Brianna’s toast masterpieces inspired the idea of a café that would combine her delicious toasts with the proven concept of smoothies and cold-pressed juices. She brought the idea to her boyfriend, Kyle Izett, whose background is in commercial construction. He offered to design the first location and completed the buildout in only 40 days!
After opening the first location in Washington D.C., the business blew Brianna and Kyle’s expectations out of the water, generating over $1 million in sales in their first year without any professional marketing!* This success prompted them to open a second location in Alexandria, VA, and most recently a location in the Navy Yard district of Washington D.C. The Navy Yard location opened during the height of COVID-19 and has proved to be our most profitable location yet!
This success can be attributed to many factors, including our ability to quickly pivot, implement third-party delivery, grab-and-go menu items, and online ordering with great success. With a small footprint that lends itself perfectly to takeout, a health-centric menu that caters to the increased health concerns caused by the pandemic, and a unique take on the popular juice bar concept, Toastique is set up to be a major player in the healthy fast-casual space. We are excited to kick off our national expansion with the first franchise location set to open in Stone Harbor, NJ in the spring of 2021!
