Based initially out of their garage, the Walker family quickly discovered that repairing commercial and residential screens was an unmet need and frustration for even do-it-yourselfers. They found that bringing a mobile workshop and professional expertise directly to a homeowner, building, or job site was the perfect solution to the world’s screening problems. Not only does Screenmobile manufacture and repair window and door screens, but our services also include pet-resistant, solar, large motorized, and porch and patio enclosures. With no national competitors, our franchise owners have enjoyed years of growth as we continue to pioneer this booming industry!
The Screenmobile business model is built on three main pillars; simplicity, flexibility, and profitability. As a home-based option with minimal overhead, our business is all about setting appointments, completing work, and collecting a check – that’s it! We offer flexibility on a day-to-day level; franchise owners create their own schedules, allowing them to block out time for important events such as their kid’s soccer games. And we offer flexibility in terms of how the business is run. Some of our owners have one truck and trailer, while other owners have six to eight trucks and trailers and large teams of employees. In terms of profitability, we have average gross sales over $270,000 with 39% net margins,* meaning owners are taking home a solid income each year – with just one license. Screenmobile is truly whatever you make of it!
Today, our franchise family includes 90-plus owners who run over 120 licenses across the country. We have won a number of industry and franchising awards but there are a few numbers we are even more proud of. First, we boast a 99% renewal rate, which means when our 10-year franchise licenses expire, 99% of the time our franchise owners renew for another 10 years. This is because Screenmobile is an ideal legacy business and we find that often the franchise is passed down from one family member to another.
