Jabz Boxing studios across the country opened their doors for a week in October to host donation-based classes in partnership with Bright Pink to raise funds to promote breast and ovarian health awareness.

Bright Pink, a national not-for-profit organization based in Chicago, focuses on health to empower women to take charge of their wellness through risk assessments, personal prevention plans and behavioral changes.

“We’ve been impressed by Bright Pink’s mission and enjoyed partnering together,” said Jabz president Danielle Scott. “Our team believes proactive measures reduce the risk of ovarian and breast cancer and are crucial in empowering women to take control of their health.”

All proceeds collected during the systemwide charity event went to Bright Pink, said Scott, who was excited about the opportunity for Jabz Boxing to participate in contributing to such a worthy cause.

Everyone attending the classes was encouraged to wear bright pink and bring a friend or two, or even three. With as little as a $5 suggested donation per class, participants also received links to digital educational pamphlets and videos with information on cancer prevention and early detection.

Jabz Boxing and Bright Pink are empowerment-oriented organizations aimed at encouraging and educating women on proactively managing their lives by taking charge of their own well-being. Jabz Boxing offers a motivating, full-body, circuit-style workout that combines boxing with cardio, core, agility, and strength training. Jabz Boxing exercises are specifically designed for women and change daily to keep clients challenged, resulting in proven results.

Founded and franchised in 2013, Jabz Boxing has grown to more than 20 locations that are already open or in development in Arizona, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
