Neighborly® Announces Plans to Open Second Headquarters in Irving, Texas

Global franchisor selects site to expand staff and support its rapidly growing network.

WACO, Texas — Neighborly®, the world’s largest franchisor of home service brands, today announced plans to open a second headquarters office in Irving, Texas.

The new office, which is slated to open in April 2021, will occupy 34,000 square-feet of the 500 E. John Carpenter Freeway office building located in the central, upscale Las Colinas/Irving submarket. Neighborly plans to move five out-of-state brands: Mr. Handyman, Molly Maid, Dryer Vent Wizard, Window Genie and Real Property Management, as well as expand its IT and Digital Marketing teams, to the new location.

  • Repair Chewed Drywall: To fix drywall that may have been gnawed at by a puppy or anxious dog, scrape loose debris from holes or dents and cover with fast-drying spackle.   • Protect the Floors: Pets can damage hardwood flooring simply by walking on it. Protect hardwood by maintaining claw length and keeping area rugs around the house for pets to lie on. Fix minor scratches with floor cleaner and protective finish. Clean the scratch with a damp cloth, scrub the cleaner over the scratch, and repeat with a clean cloth to rinse away hardwood cleaner.
  • Safeguard Wood: Wood is often a target for pets who chew or scratch. The easiest protection plan is to add plastic sheeting or PVC tubing around table and chair legs to prevent claw and bite marks. Save doors by adding clear, plastic sheeting.

Neighborly® Names Brad Stevenson Chief Development Officer

Stevenson assumes responsibilities of retiring Executive Vice President Robert Tunmire

WACO, Texas — Neighborly®, the world’s largest franchisor of home service brands, announced yesterday the appointment of Brad Stevenson as the company’s new Chief Development Officer, effective immediately.

In his new role, Stevenson will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic direction of North American franchise development for 13 Neighborly franchise brands. These duties were previously overseen by Neighborly’s Executive Vice President Robert Tunmire, who is retiring this month following 44 years of contributions to the company’s franchise growth and development.

“Finding the right leader to fill this role, renamed from Executive Vice President to Chief Development Officer, was critical as we continue to expand Neighborly brands worldwide,” said Mike Bidwell, President and CEO of Neighborly. “Armed with 23 years of experience as an accomplished executive, we are confident that Brad Stevenson is the perfect candidate to take the lead on development and communication of Neighborly’s franchise development vision to the organization. Prior to joining the Neighborly team, Stevenson spent his entire professional career with MillerCoors and Miller Brewing Company after first joining the organization in 1996 as an On-Premise Miller Marketing Representative for United Beverage in Houston, Texas. Throughout his career with the adult beverage industry leader, Stevenson held numerous sales and marketing positions with the company including Vice President of Grocery, Director of Business Development and Strategy and Regional Chain Director.

Stevenson graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.
