After pausing in-person events for two years, Signworld was finally able to have a successful convention in Louisville, Kentucky, this spring. Over 60 new Signworld owners have joined Signworld since the last in-person convention, and they were in attendance alongside 112 veteran owners.

Sharae Ewing, director of communications and event coordinator for Signworld, spoke of the valuable information shared at the much-awaited event. “We had so much to show everyone. We hosted a four-day event for Signworld owners and trade show exhibitors, beginning with a welcome reception. The next three days included over 30 training sessions, covering internet marketing, networking, building a $1 million business, having a successful first year, having an exit strategy and much more. We also featured three keynote speakers, a two-day trade show and an awards lunch,” she said.

The trade show offered 70 booths featuring the industry’s latest and greatest products and services. Being a Signworld owner includes membership discounts and services of the exclusive list of preferred partners and suppliers. Signworld owners spend over $65 million on these products and services each year.

“We are proud to host this convention and offer free admission for all owners to attend. It’s just another way we provide support and ongoing training for each owner and their staff,” Ewing said.

During the awards ceremony, Signworld presented over 85 awards, including the brand’s Career Club award, Leadership award, Sales award, Rookie of the Year award, Preferred Partner of the Year award and the coveted Heavy Hitter award. With record-breaking growth throughout the company in 2021, Signworld had to expand its award offerings. “During these COVID times, for the first time ever, we had to award two runners-up for the Rookie of the Year award because of the record numbers they hit throughout 2021,” Ewing said.

When the world was in trouble, the Signworld community was deemed essential and took on an unprecedented amount of business, supplying signage that did not exist just three years earlier. Because of the pandemic, signage is now in places that, historically, haven’t had a need for signage. This change has provided a boost to a business model that offers double-digit growth year after year for owners. Signworld is thrilled that 2021 was a successful year for owners across the U.S. and Canada.

With over 34 years in the business, Signworld continues to be the leader in the no-royalty sign business concept.
