Quality Pro Services was built around a simple idea: Many talented trades professionals know their craft inside and out but never receive the support needed to successfully run and grow a business. Founded in July 2025, the emerging HVAC, plumbing and electrical franchise focuses on helping operators strengthen the technical and business sides of home services while building long-term success in their local communities.
In just a year, the company has grown to eight franchise locations and was recently added to the SBA franchise database, signaling early momentum for the young brand. For Vice President of Franchise Operations Skip Shuey, that growth matters less than ensuring franchisees feel genuinely supported throughout the process.
“A lot of contractors are incredibly talented technicians, but nobody ever taught them the business side,” Shuey said. “We wanted to create something that helps good operators become successful business owners.”
Shuey brings decades of experience in construction, inspections and wholesale distribution, giving him firsthand insight into the challenges many operators face. That experience now shapes how Quality Pro Services supports franchisees, with a strong focus on operational guidance, mentorship and helping owners build sustainable growth beyond the technical side of the job.
From the initial discovery call through the franchise agreement process, Shuey connects with prospective franchisees at least once a week. After joining the system, franchisees move through a detailed 14- to 16-week startup calendar designed to guide them through every stage of launching the business. The process includes onboarding franchisees with ServiceTitan, providing in-person QuickBooks support, offering hiring guidance, developing operational checklists and conducting a two-day training course in Wilmington, North Carolina, that focuses on operations, profit-and-loss analysis and the realities of running a business.
“We never want franchisees to feel like they are left out on an island,” Shuey said. “A lot of people in home services have had that experience before. We built this model around staying connected and actually helping them grow.”
As the brand continues to expand, the focus remains on helping franchisees achieve meaningful business milestones.
Over the next 12 months, Quality Pro Services hopes to add 12 to 15 locations while continuing to prioritize the operational support and personal relationships that helped shape the brand in its earliest stages.
