As part of its commitment to franchise owners, Surveillance Secure is constructing a 20,000-square-foot headquarters to house a state-of-the art franchise support center. The facility will also feature a centralized customer service center, an IT support call center and product showroom. Scheduled to open in Fredrick, Maryland, the facility will be the epicenter of initial and ongoing training.

The initial training involves a comprehensive three-week program, which focuses mainly on running a successful business rather than technical details. Unlike other security companies, owners will not be expected to perform equipment installations, but build and lead teams. “That’s a big misconception,” Gazzola says. “There are some franchisors with this as their model, but we need someone who is willing to learn our process and systems.”

He explains that Surveillance Secure franchise owners are primarily focused on scheduling, creating proposals and developing new business, which are the three main components of training. Two of the three weeks of training are focused on operations, administration and marketing.

Gazzola stresses that because Surveillance Secure was recently introduced as a franchise offering, many large territories are still available for the right candidates.
