If you’ve ever struggled to find high-quality child care, you’re not alone. According to Zippia, about half of Americans struggle with finding child care, and that is the exact reason Kathy Livingston and Sergio Mormile founded Oliver’s Nannies.

“When we were looking for child care ourselves, we noticed there weren’t a lot of easy-to-access and flexible options,” explained Livingston. “We wanted to ensure that every parent knows they have a reliable source for child care.”

Mormile currently operates the company’s flagship location in Millburn, New Jersey, which has played an integral role in helping the brand grow. Since opening its doors just a few years ago, Oliver’s Nannies has experienced positive year-over-year growth, even through the 2020 pandemic.

“Nannies are not a luxury service,” said Mormile. “We’re changing the narrative on child care and changing the lives of families by allowing them to get the support they need regardless of their income or situation. We work with families across the board to provide them peace of mind, knowing they have someone they can rely on.”

Franchisees for Oliver’s Nannies receive initial owner training, on-site visits and webinars that explain key concepts to ensure they’re set up for success from day one. They also receive one-on-one coaching both in-person and remotely to help maximize their success.

Going forward, Oliver’s Nannies is focused on continuing franchise growth and developing services. It also is committed to increasing the accessibility to reliable child care.

“Child care is not a job. It will never be a job. It’s a love and passion. While it can be challenging, it’s easy when you have the love and passion that we do,” Mormile stated. “When we hear how much families love our nannies and services, it means the world to us. Knowing that we’re changing the lives of families and children is truly what’s most important to us.”

Oliver’s Nannies is eager to add altruistic franchisees to its family.

Here’s a look into what a day in the life is like for an Oliver’s Nannies franchisee:

8:30 a.m. Sergio gathers the team members for their morning meeting where they go over clients, new cases and schedules for the day.

9 a.m. Sergio reviews potential candidates for the company’s care team. He calls candidates, checks references and conducts interviews. Once a week, he leads orientation for new hires. He also checks in on cases and reaches out to clients.

12 p.m. The team comes together again to look at progress, discuss candidates for pending cases, highlight success stories and address any client needs that have come up.

1 p.m. Sergio drops off goodies and refills brochures to local pediatricians, OBGYN offices and other child care-related businesses.

4 p.m. Sergio heads back to the office to wrap up the day with the team. He also confirms scheduled interviews and checks nanny schedules for the following day.

5 p.m. Sergio heads home to his wife and three kids and puts his dad hat on for the rest of the night!
