On November 26, 30 new Network In Action (NIA) groups were launched simultaneously using a revolutionary virtual model. NIA is a business networking group for professionals that utilizes innovative technology and a professionally trained group leader to meet the needs of modern business owners.
The virtual meeting concept was piloted four months ago and helps business owners make connections that reach farther than their local communities. Franchise owners opened the virtual groups in addition to their in-person groups, with members consisting of professionals from across the country as opposed to their local area. The expansion of the 30 new groups brings the total NIA groups in operation to 110, making it the largest professionally run networking organization in the nation.
Starting in Canada, NIA is expanding internationally, adding locations in South Africa and Dubai by March 2022. Each month, NIA groups have the opportunity to meet other groups through a virtual meeting. In the first quarter of next year, these meetings will become international, and the possibility of making essential business connections will grow exponentially.
Scott Talley, founder of Network in Action, explained the motivation for expanding into virtual and international groups. “After the start of the pandemic, we came to realize that there are so many people that do business across state lines and international boundaries, and they do not have professionally led networking groups. We have the ability to encourage engagement, participation is measured and our mobile app keeps everyone connected 24/7. We didn’t start off in technology, but we recognized early on that we needed state-of-the-art technology to do what we do,” he said.
Talley credits the group leaders’ passion for helping others as a major factor in the brand’s recent expansion. “When 50% of the group leaders take it upon themselves to decide they want to help their community and start a completely new virtual Network in Action group, that really says something about our company. They love what they do,” Talley shared.
