When co-owners Michele and Jeff Varon opened their Mobility City location in Greater New Orleans in 2021, they didn’t realize how significant of an impact they would have in their community.

“It has been our pleasure, and it is quite gratifying, to help improve the quality of life for thousands of area residents over the past two years,” Jeff said. “Seeing people’s responses when we deliver a new piece of equipment to their home, or repair their existing equipment, brings us as much joy as it does our customers.”

Mobility City is the only national franchise in the U.S. that offers mobility-equipment repairs, rentals, sales and sanitizing services. The brand is committed to helping customers gain and maintain their independence with reliable and predictable services. With these core values, the Varons fit right in!

The husband-and-wife team is equipped with years of experience in nursing home operations and uses their passion for helping others to build vital customer relationships. “I can’t think of more rewarding work than serving the elderly, veterans and those recovering from and dealing with various health issues and surgeries. Our relationship with customers goes well beyond strictly business,” Michele added.

As a result of those relationships, the Varons have repeat customers and plenty of referrals in a generous territory of 1.2 million residents.

Diane Baratta, CEO of Mobility City, said: “We are proud to have the Varons on the Mobility City team. Michele and Jeff were our first Louisiana franchise owners and have just completed two years of serving their community. We are excited to see their continued growth and the development of their territory.”

According to Ben Fretti, director of operations, the Varons have the characteristics the brand looks for when awarding franchises to candidates: They’re kind-hearted, hard-working and dedicated to upholding Mobility City’s core values.

“Jeff and Michele have done an outstanding job representing the Mobility City brand in New Orleans. They faced some early challenges with respect to storms but have overcome them and become great assets in their community. They’re very community-focused and involved, and we’re proud of the work they’re doing to improve the lives of the people needing mobility equipment services in New Orleans,” Fretti said.
