With a set of core values that are rooted in kindness and integrity and drive all interactions, Wisdom Senior Care’s proven concept has had a positive impact on many, clients and franchisees included. The brand’s dedication and commitment to seniors, their families and franchise owners have resulted in numerous awards, including recognition from the International Franchise Association (IFA) and the Women’s Business Center of North Carolina.
Charles Thurston, certified operations officer, explained how the brand’s core values have acted as “building blocks” of success. “The core values provide opportunities, protection, and blessings to everyone we serve,” he said.
Wisdom Senior Care continuously upholds those values and maintains the highest level of quality care by providing franchise owners with all the tools and resources they need to make a difference in their communities. Referring to franchise owners as members of the “Wisdom family,” Thurston noted that all franchisees receive comprehensive support, including mentorship, business coaching, and business and personal development assistance.
The brand’s support doesn’t end there, however. “We have a Wisdom app as well as weekly and quarterly webinars supporting our franchisees,” Thurston said. “We also have a video library on resources helping our franchisees with hiring caregivers, marketing, and business development.” Wisdom Senior Care even has its own state-approved nursing assistant program, the Wisdom Health Academy, which helps produce certified, compassionate caregivers in an industry that often lacks trained professionals. The academy also acts as a feeder program of high-quality nurses for franchise owners.
As if the brand’s commitment to franchisee growth couldn’t get any stronger, Carolyn Thurston, CEO and founder of Wisdom Senior Care, is the vice-chair of the Black Franchise Leadership Council, a segment of IFA’s Diversity Institute, which educates people of all backgrounds to help them find success in franchising.
“We have always had a passion for diversity,” Thurston shared. “We have loved the opportunity to help and serve all walks of life. That is a right fit for the Wisdom Senior Care culture. It gives us the ability to educate a broader audience about franchising.”
