Grimaldi’s® Coal Brick-Oven Pizzeria has earned its famed reputation by re-creating the quintessential New York City style of pizza. A slice of Grimaldi’s pizza is not only flavorful, but it’s also part of a 100-year-old family tradition that is committed to creating a family-friendly, old-school dining experience.

Every location harkens back to the nostalgia of New York City, with checkered tablecloths and wine bottle light fixtures. Grimaldi’s Pizzeria menu boasts a variety of items, such as daily homemade baked desserts, signature coal-fired brick oven pizzas and crisp salads. The brand’s entire concept is centered on using real ingredients, and its tried-and-true recipes please a variety of palates. It all comes together to create a welcoming dining experience that is just as memorable as it is delicious.

The traditional restaurant experience even translates to how Grimaldi’s Pizzeria approaches growth. The company plans to expand by partnering with restaurant groups that are looking to add pizza to their portfolio. However, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is very particular about who it works with, focusing on operators who will maintain its high hospitality standards and vision for the future.

“We’re really committed to finding restaurant groups who know how to treat guests and their associates,” said Chief Operating Officer Michael Flaum. “There are a lot of people that are just investors. You know, they’re making money, and that’s not what we’re looking for. We want them to be profitable, but we also want them to be passionate about our brand in the food-service industry. The majority of our franchise inquiries are people who are guests of our restaurants and love the product.”

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria has a slow-and-steady approach to growth because it prioritizes the franchisee experience, making sure each location is handled with the same care that its first pizzas were made with. The Grimaldi’s Pizzeria franchise model is built on its proven method for success that made it a New York City icon. After all these years, it still ranks quality over quantity.
