There’s never been a school bus like this one, and the name says it all! FUN BUS is a full-sized school bus loaded with gymnastics equipment to provide structured fitness fun for children ages 18 months to 7 years.

The FUN BUS, which remains parked while children are on board, is climate-controlled with heating and air conditioning to ensure a comfortable environment. Two FUN BUS coaches facilitate each fitness class in a format that incorporates social and classroom rules and is enhanced by age-appropriate music. New activities and a different theme each week keep kids excited and coming back. Each class includes a stretching and warm-up period, as well as a circuit similar to an obstacle course with equipment on the bus to tumble, climb, jump, flip and swing. The half-hour classes end with a unique closing game or activity. Students finish their sessions by sliding out the back of the FUN BUS!

Even during the recent health crisis, FUN BUS has continued its programs, but with smaller groups of children. In fact, FUN BUS is in even greater demand by parents and their children, who benefit from fitness activities – and the opportunity to expend some energy during periods of stay-at-home orders.

During the pandemic, FUN BUS executives are working on various plans to grow the brand, including partnerships with adult fitness companies so that parents can work out while their children participate in FUN BUS activities, gymnastics and music. Also in the works are partnerships with virtual learning pods, with FUN BUS providing the fitness model to compliment the educational curriculum for these small groups of students working from home.

As a franchise opportunity, FUN BUS is a mobile model with very low fixed costs. Franchisees’ expenses are kept low. There are opportunities to get in now while some territories remain available. And business is growing as a result of FUN BUS’s popularity among parents and educators, particularly as the need for a fitness curriculum remains crucial since many schools are currently closed, or partially closed.

“Our FUN BUS franchise owner family, or FUN-trepreneurs as we call them, is growing rapidly,” says Stacey Kimmins, President and CEO. “The fixed costs for getting into this mobile business are just so low that we’ve made it very easy to scale up.”
