Since 1989, Floor Coverings International® has maintained its title as the Number One flooring franchise in North America. The manufacturer-direct flooring installation company has seen an uptick in franchise sales and an increased demand from customers who are grappling with the current home shortage. Whether homeowners are lucky enough to purchase a new home or are remodeling their current residence, they’re turning to the flooring professionals to update their space and make it their own.

Floor Coverings International arrives at customers’ doors and provides an experience specifically tailored to the customer and their home. The mobile brand’s attention to customer satisfaction has resulted in a net promoter score of 83 out of 100 for customer experience (which is 40 points higher than the industry average).

“In the past two quarters, we have had record growth. Not only do we have 200 franchisees who are offering fantastic validation, but we also have close to 400 open territories between Canada and the U.S.,” said Chris Shaffer, senior director of franchise development.

Franchisees have the opportunity to grow with an easily scalable, renowned brand that has the potential for multiple revenue streams. Starting with one Mobile Flooring Showroom®, franchise owners can add up to five more, resulting in a new pocket of revenue for each showroom. The brand, which has a high rate of referral work, has other perks as well.

“There is an extremely low overhead. To begin your business as an owner and part-time office manager, when you are at a revenue line of $3 million or $4 million, you’re looking at four or five employees. You don’t carry any inventory, and you have a lot of room to scale,” Shaffer said.

Floor Coverings International provides extensive support, offering 150 hours of training, a franchise coach, and digital marketing assistance. A call center answers calls and sets appointments for franchisees, quickly securing a cash flow for franchisees.

“If you couple all of this with an industry where there is no dominant player, you have the perfect storm. We’re disrupting the flooring industry,” Shaffer said.
