It kind of reminds me of the first day of school. I was so nervous because I didn’t know who my teacher was going to be, my classmates, my room design, my room location, the smell of my room, etc. Some classes’ culture (usually set by the teacher) were good, whereas others not so much.
Eric Estes, a certified franchise consultant (CFC) with FranServe, recently posted this excerpt from one of his writings, which is so true: “Culture is an important aspect to consider when going through due diligence as a potential investor in a franchise. A franchisor’s positive corporate culture must translate to the franchisees. When conducting due diligence, ask franchisees their feelings on the culture at the corporate office. Likewise, note the actions and words of the home office employees. Success occurs when everybody develops positive and valuable working relationships. Culture matters!”
This is a simple example of how working with a franchise professional such as a CFC can help bring in special knowledge and understanding of how important blending cultures is, especially in the franchise world.
